Since the colonists got all this new land in the Ohio River Valley they started expanding west. The natives did not like the colonists moving on to their land without their permission. The natives started attacking the colonists who were on their land and they started asking the government for help but got none. Also, when the french left, they left forts throughout the land and British soldiers started moving into them. The natives, led by Pontiac, started attacking the British troops. This required more troops to be sent over by Britain. They would also have to make more taxes so they could afford to send them over to protect them. Britain eventually got sick of all the fighting and bickering so they made the Proclamation line which ended

France's expansion through the Ohio River brought conflict with Britain because of claims that those lands were British. The war started when Major George Washington went down to the Ohio River with the goal of delivering a message to a French captain, warning them to withdraw their French troops, although it was obviously rejected, therefore George Washington was told to build a fort near Pittsburgh. However, he was unsuccessful because the French attacked George, so he surrendered. Around two years later the British became allies with the Indians, and many Indian's abandoned their French allies.
Throughout the mid 18th century there was a big argument about land and power between the French and the British. This land included the upper land of the Ohio River Valley as well as the rest because the more land someone had the more power they also had. The reason why they were competing for this land was because the British were feeling threatened due to the fact that the French were taking away the land they felt were theirs by right. This also brought a feeling of threat to the British because the French were gaining power and control in trading. The start of the French and Indian War was caused by the dispute between the French and British about who was going to have more land since the more land someone had, the more powerful they were.
English colonists were trying to push west, further into the New World. In doing this they went into the Ohio Valley making the French upset because they had already set up trade there. This caused the French to build military strongholds, the biggest being in southwest Pennsylvania, trying to keep the English out. Colonists in Virginia decided to retaliate against the French.
The Proclamation of 1763 was proposed to keep the Americans from settling in the aforementioned land. It basically made certain borders for settlement of the thirteen colonies. Even though it was
Jamestown is where it all began… King James Ⅰ sent 144 men to America to settle there, and it caused a lot of bickering and fighting along the way. The English men believed that the natives that already lived there would welcome them, so they let their guard down and were attacked. The reason that the natives didn’t want them there was because their chief Powhatan received a prophecy that another group would later become better than his, and he tried to defeat any other group that opposed his. Since the natives wouldn’t help them, the men started going very hungry, along with the intense heat, and within 8 months, more than half the men died. The hunger got so bad, that John Smith started trading with the enemy, the natives.
In the earlier years of settlement, there was violence that started at the lines of territories. Natives continued to fight back against the explorers to keep their lands. This made things more difficult for other settlers to come to the Natives lands and build colonies. Eventually, Native Americans, Africans, and Europeans had started to become more civilized and this started to shape the way for colonies. Native Americans than introduced the world of tobacco to the Europeans.
At the end of the fifteenth century settlers from Europe arrived in North America, these settlers drove out the people who lived in America. Britain amongst the other colonies soon became the supreme colony in North America. In the eighteenth century these settlers felt more independent and did not like Britain interfering with their lives, their land, or their economy. Between 1676 and 1760 there were lots of rebellions, people tried to overthrow the colonial
Even though Native American involvement during the Revolutionary War is often overlooked. they played a significant role. Not only did the war determine which direction in history America would take, but it also progressed the downfall of the Native Americans. They lost land and freedoms while America gained it. Both sides in the war wanted the Native Americans to stay neutral, however most Native Americans sided with the English during the American Revolution.
The French and Indian War started from problem in North America amongst French and British as well as the colonist. They all wanted to extend the country border, for their own conscience upon the Ohio River Valley. The French had built forts around the Ohio River Valley. Great Britain controlled the 13 states up to the Appalachian Mountains, yet past lay New France, a spread-out, insufficiently settled area that extended from Louisiana through the Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes to Canada. George Washington wanted to retreat the French from their territories, but were outnumbered and overpowered by the French.
War is an issue that has always been among mankind. From Native Americans fighting off Europeans for land in the 1500's to United States military forces going into other countries to defend helpless citizens. The topic of war tends to bring sadness and grief to people, especially if a loved one lost their life to it. War is seen as morally wrong but that doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't justifiable. Going back to the topic of Native Americans versus Europeans, both side stances are clearly shown.
Thomas Jefferson talks about the involvement of Native Americans in the Revolutionary War. He clearly stated that American Indians are considered as enemies and suggested to the governor that an expedition should be declared on Indian grounds to remove the native tribes in case of prevented further conflict. We have been too diverted by interests of Humanity from enforcing good behavior by severe punishment. Savages are to be curbed by fear only; We are not in a condition to repeat expensive expeditions against them.
The American Revolution lasted six years and the impacts of it were everlasting(Schultz, 2010). The effects were felt by every group of people in North America and many worldwide. Even though George Washington had all of his troops vaccinated against smallpox, the colonists were not so fortunate and as a results some estimates are that as many as one hundred and thirty thousand people died from this dreaded disease. This loss of life combined with the divisions among the colonies into those loyal to Britain and those who wanted freedom would forever change the way of life for the colonists.
The settlers felt that the British government were treating them unfairly, and their rights were violated. The conflict between the British Government and settler helped to gather political ideas to break away from the British Government and declare their own independent nation.
The Proclamation of 1763, was a rule that was later established by King George III in order for the colonies to stop expanding. This later affected the Americans, causing them land that could no longer be purchased from the Indians. The Americans did not favor this because this caused them to not make money from
