Technology from the Past to Present Then Future! Technology past present and future. Technology is important in today 's world because it serves a variety of functions in many of the most important aspects of modern society, like education, communication, business and scientific progress Today’s world keeps moving faster than the speed of light with all of the new technology in the twenty-first century. Between the SpaceX rocket launch and the start of the 2018 Olympics, it sure was easy to get inspired. But, while others launching rockets out of the earth 's atmosphere or performing super-human feats of athletic prowess. From cars that can almost drive themselves to drones that can go to war and take the place of humans to the never-ending social media sites bombarding our lives with snap chat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. It is a wonder that we can keep up on a daily basis. It seems to me that as soon as you learn something new it is already out. Is today 's technology a positive advancement? …show more content…

People have been harassing and threatening others online. Some have even pretended to be a friend, but end up being a creepy pedophile wanting to meet up with an innocent child on the internet. This could then lead to sexual abuse or even death. Some online predators impersonate others and pretend to know who he is talking to. Kids don 't know better and should be more careful. Parents shouldn 't allow their kids to go to certain sites and restrict them. No one wants to be a victim of an online predator. When I was just a little girl I remember my parents getting a cell phone and If you look around today it is second nature for everyone to have a cell phone and if you don 't they think you 're weird. Computer technology has grown tremendously since I was born from the days of a standalone desktop computer to the handheld laptop and IPad all cordless of course. Video games
