Small Joys and Beauty of Nature
God has blessed us with one of the most precious gifts which is the nature and its beauty. It is the constantly blowing fresh air which keeps us alive each day. It is blue sky, the birds flying over it and the green carpet of grasses under it which honors us with the beauty and joys of nature and keeps us alive each and every moment. Frances Hodgson Burnett wrote a story “The Secret Garden” to convey this message that it’s nothing but the small joys of nature that changes people life. These changes are displayed by the life of the two main characters, Mary and Colin. The story has a clear flow of ideas involving the narrators point of view as well.It

The fresh air blowing, the scene of springs arrival, the small shoots and buds growing here and there ,the birds and other animals ,they all indicates that how nature has blessed us with so many beautiful things. In addition Dickons character displays that how nature has bestowed him with beautiful companions as in the story it’s mentioned as,” ‘Here is Dickon and his animals’.Dickon came in smiling his nicest wide smile. He was holding a new born lamb in his arms ,and the little fox cub was walking next to him.Two squirrels were looking out of his pockets, and the crow sat on his shoulder”,(Burnett,Page 53).When Mary comes across all these joys of nature and other characters, she changes from a selfish and unfriendly girl into a friendly and altruistic person. This all happens due to the beauty and small joys of nature which she was exploring and enjoying.Intially Marry was lonely and ill tempered girl, she was just interested in her own self. As she went outside she came across the secret garden, she met Dickon and his strange friends (animals) and like this during exploring the garden she was becoming friendly with different people. Now she was not only thinking about herself, instead she …show more content…
“His mind had been full of dark, sad thoughts for ten years…….and he had refused to let any light into his life since then. But slowly-slowly-as he walked among beautiful mountains and wandered by blue lakes,he began to grow stronger”,(Burnett page 65). Again the credit has been given to the nature that how it changed his life. The nature taught him that if there is one reason for him to be sad and disappointed from life then nature gives him many more reasons to be happy and strong enough to face these difficulties. Though these are the minor characters in the story but they convey the same massage as the main characters
The writing style is a clear representation of the importance of complexity. Written in third-person, the non-intrusive omniscient narrator recounts the convoluted
It is easy to read and the story made me feel as I was there, experiencing everything with narrator . The beginning introduction really helped me to realize and appreciate how big the Deaf World is. How it is more than a place or land, but rather “a culture based on relationships among people for whom a number of places and associations may provide common ground”(5). The Deaf World is huge and all encompassing. There isn’t one place that the Deaf migrate but rather there all over the World.
I think this book is very creative, because of the way the book is written and how the emotions
Written by Zora Neale Hurston, Their Eyes Were Watching God, follows a young woman named Janie Crawford and her coming of age story. The novel is introduced with Janie returning back to Eatonville after the passing of her husband Tea Cake. In the opening scene, Janie opens up to her friend Pheoby and tells her how things have been since she had left with Tea cake two years ago. However, Phoebe doesn't understand the story Janie is trying to tell her because she incorporates events from when her grandmother was around thus confusing her friend.
Yet, despite the length, the book was an enlightening experience. It was very well written, with a quick, intriguing pace. Although I typically avoid non-fiction, Moore’s writing style was captivating. The point of view alternated throughout, switching between the two Wes Moore’s stories. This was a tad confusing to read at first, as there were times that the point of view changes mid chapter.
The writers ' fundamental objective is to delight and engage the audience, as well as to take the reader on an adventure brimming with intense plot twists. The creator accomplishes her objective. For me the book is composed clearly because of its simple yet y descriptive
Moreover, this passage is delicately laced with intricate details of the story, and is a familiar vehicle for conveying the novel’s
In the midst of all of this he finds a balance by focusing on what really matters. At the same time this keeps him focused on his main goal which is education. Education will be his family's way out of poverty. Through seeing his younger brother that is unemployed and will be having a child soon he looks beyond this and is genuinely proud of where he comes from. He realizes how strong his family is when he seems them fighting through poverty and making things.
He tries to forgive himself but he cannot, no matter how hard he tries. The heroic characteristics as well as the flaw leads him to be a tragic hero. On top of his road to self discovery he must deal with the ever declining social structure of the town. He tries to stand out as an honest resistor to the hangings, which ultimately leads to his
Alice Walker uses imagery and diction throughout her short story to tell the reader the meaning of “The Flowers”. The meaning of innocence lost and people growing up being changed by the harshness of reality. The author is able to use the imagery to show the difference between innocence and the loss of it. The setting is also used to show this as well.
These images show Wordsworth’s relationship with nature because he personifies this flower allowing him to relate it and become one with nature.
Three of the most important aspects of any story are the point of view, characterization and plot. In the short stories “Geraldine Moore the Poet,” “The Story-Teller,” and “Enemy Territory” this statement proves to be true. With a good analysis, all of these things can be found in the stories. Additionally, the point of view, characterization and plot can relate to the theme. The point of view needs to be scrutinized throughout the whole story.
But most of the story is a form of symbolism. This story gives the reader a look at what it feels like to be lonely. In this world it’s seems hard, cold, and alone. The world seems dead. But many people in our world would say it’s not that different then the one Ray Bradbury wrote about.
Since The Road is more about the Boy’s journey than his father’s, the supreme ordeal at the end of the novel is the death of the Man. The death of the Man, who acted as the Boy’s mentor during the many challenges faced by the duo, represents the largest and most devastating challenge faced by the Boy. Not only is this due to the fact that the Boy feels unprepared to continue on without his father, but it is also because the “reward” and “road back” are not immediately apparent to the Boy. Compared to even the most challenging obstacles the Boy faced in the past, the death of his father leaves him both physically and mentally pained and exhausted. However, relief from his situation arrives promptly in the form of the stranger who claims to be a “good guy,” though the Boy’s future remains forever uncertain.
Reading response:Extended text: fiction Lord of the flies The book is about a plane crashes causing the only survivors and a group of schoolboys without adult supervision, trapped on a desert island waiting for rescue. Initially, when I read the beginning of the story, the boys have elected Ralph to be the leader and settled some rules to maintain order in the island. At first, I thought this is a children's adventure story where the children had get along and rescued by their teamwork and it ends up happily. In fact, after reading more the middle part of the book, the positive picture of my images had been smashed up, problems getting more and more.
