The Temptations
Introduction:
I. Have you ever heard the song “My Girl” or “Get Ready”? If so, do you know the artist?
II. Well, let me introduce you to the Motown vocal group that sang those songs, The Temptations.
III. In my research on the Temptations, I have found that they are one of the most influential rhythm & blues and soul music vocal groups of the 1960s.
IV. Today, I will examine how the Temptations vocal group began, the successes of this influential vocal group, and the personal issues that eventually lead to the separation and end of the “original” Temptations.

Towards the end of the 1960’s, many of The Temptations’ songs had a political theme. vi. “Cloud Nine” was about a drug allegory and “Ball of Confusion” described the world at their time.
D. In the history of soul music, no group could compare to The Temptations.
i. As found on The Temptations webpage from the Motown Museum website copyright date updated 2017, they could dance with “elegant precision,” sing with great harmony, and wore the “sharpest wardrobe” in the music business. ii. Unlike many of the other vocal groups, each member of The Temptations was able to take the lead on any of their songs.

How Brooks and Dunn changed music history. “Woohoo,” the crowd falls in applause by yet another one of Brooks and Dunn’s fantastic concerts. They are one of the best country duos of all time. Brooks and Dunn are extremely special for country music history, and fans adore them. When Brooks and Dunn met at Arista Records, they were both planning to have solo careers, but little did they know, they would earn so many achievements throughout the 1990's and the 2000's together.
The Temptations songs Eddie Kendricks tribute to was “The Way You Do Things You Do”, “My Girl”, “Get Ready”, “You My Everything” and “Just My Imagination“. Kendricks left the group The Temptations after Dave Ruffle was fired. Although, he went solo started singing songs own his own such as “Keep On Truckin”, and
(Larkin,2002). Alabama has lots of hits from making good music. Alabama was one of the most selling country groups of the 80s they had lots of singles.(Pareles,Romanowski,1983). With there song Mountain Music they went to superstardom. After that they racked up 21 number one records between 1980 1987
The Monkees Pretend for a moment that it is 1966, and you are driving to work, tuning the radio in your car. You stop on a station playing “Last Train to Clarksville” by The Monkees, a song you recognize from their popular TV show. The Monkees was a band of four boys that starred as themselves in a TV show as themselves and produced music. Though the band had a relatively short lifespan, the members produced plenty of episodes of their show and songs during it, and later wrote more songs after the breakup of the band via reunion tours. The members of the Monkees were very influential in the development of television and music during the 1960’s.
Clark joined "Bandstand" in 1956 after its original host was fired. Under Clark 's guidance, it went from a local Philadelphia show to a national phenomenon. Before appearing on television, Clark hosted radio shows in central New York and Philadelphia. In 1956, Elvis Presley scored his first hit record with “Heartbreak Hotel”, which changed the face of music.

The Tempting Temptations With classy dance moves, creative costumes, and smooth vocals, the Temptations were a popular music group during the 1960s. The small group from Detroit had a huge impact on modern society from addressing social issues such as racial injustice, to revolutionizing rhythm and blues music. The Beatles were considered political activists by using their music as a way to talk about issues happening in the real world at that time. It all started in Liverpool in 1960 when four men came together to create the iconic band, The Beatles. The English rock band members consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were able to create timeless music that still continues to influence artists even years after the end of the group’s time. Not only did they surpassed every limit that was reached before them, they left a mark on the music industry that most artist can only hope they achieve. They changed the way music itself was created and the way it was presented to people listening all over the world.

The Beatles did not just sing to sing, they sang to give hope to a generation, they set some of the highest standards in popular culture, they changed music forever, and they still manage to affect our generation today.

The Rolling Stones Electrifying History and Lasting Legacy The Rolling Stones are one of the most well recognized and famous bands to ever perform and come from the country of England. At the peak of their careers, they took the world by storm and began to have a tremendous amount of publicity. Along with this attention, also came many varied opinions of the ‘Stones’, both good and bad. The band has had an insane history, of its good times and bad times, but throughout the time, they have still managed to stick together and are still performing today.
Although Mariah Carey is a lot alike other pop artist today, her album (Mariah Carey) incorporated a range of contemporary genres with a mix of slow ballads and dance tracks. Her first ever performance was at the Grammy’s, 1991. Mariah’s song, “Vision of Love” was very popular. The Rolling Stones even said, that the song “Vision of Love” had many fluttering strings and was the reason why American Idol got vocal schools!” Earlier Years in Music When Carey was 18 she went to a party hosted by CBS records.
