To begin, Friar Lawrence marries Romeo and Juliet, even though he knows they just met. Friar Lawrence has a reason for this, which is, “for this alliance may so happy prove. / To turn your households' rancor to pure love”
Juliet can’t marry Paris, because she's already married to Romeo. The Friar has complete knowledge that the two households have a strong hate against each other yet, he marries the couple in good intention in hopes to heal the hate bond between the households. This plan does not work out because, Romeo (Montague) kills Tybalt (Capulet) which provokes a marriage between Paris and Juliet and the banishment of Romeo. Juliet asks the Friar what she could do in order to cancel the marriage. The Friar comes up with a plan to fake her death to avoid the marriage and send a letter to Romeo to notify she was not dead.
Romeo and Juliet went to Friar Lawrence for advice during their difficult moments. In the beginning of the story, Romeo thinks he’s in love with Rosaline. As she does not return his affections, Benvolio tells him that he should forget her and find another woman but Romeo doesn’t budge. While this is happening, Pairs is wanting to marry Juliet so he invites her to a Capulet ball where Rosaline is also attending. Through a Capulet servant, Romeo finds out that Rosaline is attending.

The next day, Romeo is out with Mercutio and Benvolio when Tybalt comes. Tybalt and Mercutio get into a fight and Tybalt kills Mercutio. As a result of his anger, Romeo kills Tybalt.
After they decided they wanted to get married right away, Romeo and Juliet go to Friar’s cell to get married. Friar first questions the love because Romeo was in love with another women only a few hours ago. He only agrees to marry them because he thinks it will end the family tension. “In one respect I’ll thy assistant be; / For this alliance may be so happy prove / To turn your households’ rancor to pure love” (II.iii.90-92).
What Romeo did was that he wore a mask so no one recognize him and a Montague. When he got there he saw Juliet and fell in love with her the moment he laid his eyes on her but juliet 's cousin Tybalt recognized romeo and wanted to kill him on the spot but Lord Capulet insisted that Tybalt did not disrupt the part because the prince would get mad. After that Romeo goes over to Juliet and tells her his feelings towards her and they kiss.
