The graphic novel The War To End All wars: World War One was written about world war 1. World War 1 started in 1914 and ended in 1918, the countries involved in the war were Germany, Austria-Hungary and Ottoman Empire, they were known as the Central Powers. On the other side there was Great Britian, France, Russia, Italy and Japan, they were known as the Allied Powers. The United States didn’t join the allies until 1917. The war started because Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated by a Serbian nationalist in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
