Some people suspected that Mrs.Hall knew about the affair and had been plotting her revenge and was waiting for just the right time to strike (Hall-Mills murder). Mrs.Hall said she had been at home until Mr.Hall didn't come home so she went out looking for him and when she could not find him she returned home. The prints on the card that was by the victims feet belong to Mrs.Hall brother willie, and her brother Henry was a great shot (Crimes of the 20th century). Mrs.Hall and her brothers were said to have done a lot of things regarding the murder and covering their tracks.¨According to the Mirror the 4 had bribed witnesses and the police and had sortsoaped the local prosecutor to avoid arrest in 1922.¨ (Unsolved double killing, 382). This article appeared in the 'The Maitland Mercury and Hunter River General Advertiser' on the 12th of March 1863, in relation to Mr Cirkle's murder when a man named John Clarke was apprehended by Captain Battye and Detective Woolf in connection with Cirkle’s murder and where Clarke was one who was perceived by Captain Battye to be of ‘bad character’. On arrest, and in consequence of Clarke’s subsequent interview with Captain Battye, Clarke claimed that Frank Gardiner was involved, unfortunately, as has been established Gardiner had long fled the Burrangong/Lachlan district for Queensland. Therefore it is more likely Clarke and another possibly Ben Hall? , (for if Gardiner had been involved he would not have remained outside) waited nearby Cirkle's for Gilbert and John O'Meally whilst the robbery was conducted and as a consequence the
All the witnesses were in the room at the time of the murder which took place November 18, 1678. From all their testimonies I gathered that Watson and Russell came to arrest Dorothy Midgley for debt she owed an aunt of hers. Then when the men came to arrest
In this unfortunate case Molly Wright, who was 73 years old, was killed by a man named David Hill. The Crucible Reading Logs 1: Thomas Putnam, a landowner in Salem, contributed greatly to the trials. Putnam was one of the first characters to blame witchcraft for his own daughter's sickness, along with the minister's daughter, Betty Parris. Furthermore, Putnam was quick to believe that “hurtful, vengeful, spirits” (Miller, 15) were laying hand on the children. In addition he feels as though there is a “murdering witch” (16) among them. Consequently, in Salem if someone is “hung for a witch” (96) then they must “forfeit their property” (96) which is “the law” (96).
Throughout the year I learned many things, one that stood out prominently was the pursuit of happiness. I learned that the pursuit of happiness is a difficult and dangerous path to achieve because of all the struggles to get even there. In many ways, you are not guaranteed the happiness you so wanted, no matter what path you take. One example that shows such hardships for the pursuit of happiness is The Great Gatsby. In The Great Gatsby,Gatsby did all he could just to be together with Daisy.
John Proctor was the tragic hero of the crucible. The four essential qualities that a tragic hero should possess are goodness, appropriateness, lifelike, and consistency. All of these characteristics help to prove that John Proctor is the tragic hero of the play. John Proctor is a farmer that is honest and respectable living in a Puritan town with a wife and three children. Johns biggest flaw that lead to his demise was his love for Abigail Williams.

Two men of close age that live in towns with similar religious values have a secret that can ruin their reputation. One is a minister that has earned great respect from his town while the other has built up his family name by working hard and being an honest, good natured man. In comparing John Proctor from Arthur Miller’s The Crucible and Arthur Dimmesdale from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter the two men appear exceptionally similar since they both commit adultery, both are tormented out of jealousy, and both hide their secret until they are overcome with guilt. John Proctor and Reverend Dimmesdale both have an affair but one is out of love while the other out of lust.

Arthur Williams died on October 5th, 2015. His wife is believed to be the alleged killer based on evidence at the crime scene. Queenie had said that her and her husband had had a heated argument resulting in having the wife leave for the night, and when she arrived home he was laying at the base of the step unmoving. Key witnesses have reported that when Queenie arrived at the country club she seemed “agitated and not herself”.
“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.” Throughout his career, famed German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche criticized conformity; he viewed it as the regression of human society. It is not necessarily a negative trait, but like any dangerous virus, it remains dormant until a sickness exposes the host.
Rumor Has It In the United States, sports stars are constantly being judged for what they do. Some people are known for having a bad reputation such as Tom Brady for the allegations of him cheating.
