What would you do if your town started to come down with a fever that no one knew what it was? The reasons why I think that the author used “all was not right” for this chapter is because they knew something was going around and that they did not know what was going on. One reason I think that he used that is because people was getting sick and dying everyday and that they didn’t know what was going on so that they called in a better Dr. not saying that the Dr.’s that they had was not good but he had more practice than what they did. Another thing is that people’s systems was getting worse and they did not know who to stop it and they tried everything that they could. They don 't know what 's causing it
In Palahniuk’s personal life he was asked whether the man who killed his father and his father’s girlfriend should be given the death sentence. Palahniuk worked in a hospital and as a crime reporter but always struggled with his opinion on capital punishment. It was whilst he was making his decision that he started to write Lullaby as a way of coping. A month after the book was finished, the murderer was sentenced to death. It is possible that Palahniuk believes he shouldn’t have been given the power of life and death and that this should have been left to either God or the courts.

The simile, ’spooky as hell’, has a mysterious and frightening tone. No one truly knows what hell is like but its negative connotations provide a vivid image of how frightening Perry can be. In the novel In Cold Blood it's described that Perry had a strong relationship with his father, but as Perry got older it worsened. The simile, "I loved my father but there were times when this love and affection I had for him drained from my heart like wasted water", "like wasted water" can represent that Perry did love his father but once Perry grew older he realized that he didn't love him anymore, and that his affection towards his father was wasted as it led to no positive outcome. This shows that Perry had some issues with his father, which could have affected his personality later on, as one needs to feel the love of a parent.

Death is one of the most discussed topic that has always risen a lot of doubt and concerns . Many philosophers and writers, through the centuries, have tried to find a definition or a reason for this mysterious and inevitable event. Analyzing Plato’s Apology, he seemed to have a positive view about death. He claimed that death is a “state of nothingness and utter unconsciousness”; in fact he compared death with the act of sleeping. But since death is more deep and irreversible, humans cannot be bothering by dreams or thought while they’re died as could happen while they’re sleeping.
