Do you believe in love at first sight? Romeo and Juliet did and it lead to both of their deaths. Romeo believed that he was in love, a feeling he had never truly felt before. As a young teen, you could expect that he would make some irrational decisions, but nothing like what he did to be with who he believed to be his true love. Romeo Montague 's fatal flaw was his impulsiveness due to falling in love and marry Juliet, becoming a murderer, and taking his own life .
If Juliet is the tragic hero, what error or flaw is in her personality that leads to her downfall? Explain. Juliet’s flaw is her loyalty to Romeo. She loves Romeo so much that she commits suicide because she can not live without
For example when she fell in love with Romeo knowing that he was a Montague and that the Capulets and the Montagues were enemies. She knew it was wrong and even then she said… “Thy Purpose marriage, send me word To-morrow”(Act: II Si), she proposes, knowing that he was a Montague and a family enemy. The Blame As is the case with many others, Romeo and Juliet fell in love accidentally in the story “Romeo and Juliet,” by William shakespeare. Romeo’s unreal love for Rosaline was soon cleared with the introduction of the capulets daughter, Juliet. As can be known with any tragedy, their love failed. The story of “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” written by William Shakespeare about Romeo a Montague and Juliet a Capulet is one of the most legendary love and tragedy stories! But who’s fault was Romeo and Juliet's fall? Friar Lawrence, who is Romeo and Juliet’s adviser, is who I would blame for their fall because he was the one who marry them, he gave the potion to Juliet, and the letter Romeo was suppose to get. The first reason is that friar Lawrence was the one person who married Romeo and Juliet.
When Juliet first sees Romeo, she is immediately in love with him and thinks about marrying him. Juliet abruptly speaks ”Go ask his name. If he be married, My grave is like to be my wedding bed. ”(1.5.132-133). This shows that Juliet is very desperate towards her feelings for Romeo, and him not loving her is not worth living.
This is a reason because Romeo just got over Rosaline, when he sees Juliet he is somewhat using her as a rebound. “Out of her favor, where I am in love.” (act 1 scene 1 line 163) In this scene, Romeo is going on and on about how he loves Rosaline but she doesn’t love him back. Later on, he sees Juliet at the Capulet party and falls ‘in love’ with her.
What is Romeo’s emotional state through act one? Through act one Romeo’s emotional state was demonstrated as sad, depressed and sorrowful, along with love, and happiness. Love should be a joyful, and beautiful emotion, but Romeo sees it as a very painful and sad emotion.
