Jean Bonchak reports in her article that Greg Drew, a resource officer at Euclid High School, has talked to students in class about these dangers (Benefits of School Resource Officers). Although some students may not pay attention, having SROs talk to students about the dangers of activities like such is a good thing because it could touch a student and possibly save their life one day. SROs also serve as a mentor or someone that students can talk to when it comes to certain situations. The article states that resource officers build relationships with students to make better choices and provide guidance as needed (Bonchak). If students have a positive relationship with someone that shares knowledge about the repercussions that come with illegal actions they might think twice before committing a crime.
The honor code is a system that many schools use to establish trust with teachers and students by having students report each other for cheating, plagiarizing, stealing, and getting consequences for violating those codes. I personally like the honor code but I believe it can be a little revised for the best. The part I think is too excessive is the students control each other. It may work in some schools but it could easily be corrupted. If you think about it many students are broke, a student could easily pay the other student to allow them to cheat or copy.
For example, Francis doesn’t do anything to stop him, “how long did I stayed there listening ?”(Cormier 95). He could have easily done something to prevent that. In addition, he just stayed there and listened. He didn’t react fast enough in the situation which a hero would react and would’ve done something to stop him. He doesn’t defend his girl which does not make him a hero.
She immediately says no way. Campbell knowing she would react like that says he knows she would never do it. However, Campbell then goes on to say does seem like some things would be worth “sacrifice”. That people make mistakes for free all the time and it is only one night after all. Joan continues to refuse and Campbell continues to act like he is agreeing with her.
“I never figured out how Atticus knew I was listening, and it was not until many years later that I realized he wanted me to hear every word he said,” Scout discovered In the book, To Kill a Mocking Bird. However, Jem, Scout, and Dill lived in Maycomb which provided zero entertainment. Most agree the children spent the summer in boredom, but some believe they should have respected their father Atticus’ wishes regardless. Others argue “The Boo Radley Game” resulted in innocent fun. The children should not pester Boo Radley because they disobeyed Atticus, trespassed property, and tormented Boo.
I found it dead.” (Steinbeck pg 4). Lennie is triggered when certain things happen, like when he kills the mouse, he goes into another state of mind. When Lennie is not triggered he is described as an innocent, kind person or as others would say he is a big baby. Not many people see Lennie’s aggression except for George. George tries to handle Lennie 's anger with trying to demand him to do this or that but it never helps Lennie in the long run.
For those whom this might offend, I want to say in advance that, I don’t care, if you are reading this not knowing how to react, then I am truly sorry. I’d rather listen to Fetty Wap try to to rap than to watch a bunch of people I know throw up ignorant hand signs, what’s the point? Is there a letter I missed? Why are people trying to be cool with gang members? I know a few of them and honestly there’s and honestly there’s no point in being in something that’ll get you killed in the end.
If you can just kill one of your own kind for beating you in a game of poker, you have no feelings and that is evil. But then again, gremlins are said to have no value of life for other gremlins; often killing and beating each other for fun Here is another example; as a "prank", the gremlins sabotage an older lady's stairlift. Well she decides to go upstairs and before you know it, she's getting launched out a window at the top of her steps and dies. That seems pretty evil to me. Another reason I have for believing gremlins are the best villains is
According to " The Case Against High-School Sports" (2013), sports could create some study, health, and time management problems for schools and students. In this post, Amanda Ripley initially shows the benefits when involving in the high-school sports: exercise, sportsmanship lessons, some positive personalities, more fun and staying away from vices. She also writes some tales to inform readers that in the US, students are interested and enjoy in sports more than other peers in other countries. However, she claims that the high-school sports have negative effects on schools and students. Next, she gave some schools ' examples to show the problems when schools and students spent too much time and money in high-school sports.
