Society starts to crumble, when people don’t realise what’s a truth or a lie. Not knowing if something is a truth or a lie can really hurt someone because they can’t tell what’s actually happening or not. In result, of seeing horrendous things, it made him do very twisted things. When Curt Lemon died, Rat Kiley took all of his hatred that he had on a baby buffalo and Rat Kiley viciously killed the baby buffalo. He formed a huge sensation in his mind after the incident and his mind crumbled. Furthermore, “In war you lose your sense of the definite, hence your sense of truth itself, and therefore it’s safe to say that in a true war story nothing is ever absolutely true”(pg.78).
