Thomas Edison was born February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. Thomas Edison was a very smart person and one of the best business men, he was also known as wizard of menlo park, he also held a record of 1,093 for more patents and he also created the very first laboratory. He started his career in 1863 as a telegraph industry, when only virtually of electricity was permitted which was only batteries.

Thomas Edison’s Family was a mid class that meant that his family wasn’t rich or poor, Edison was the youngest out of seven children from Nancy and Samuel edison he had three brothers which were, Samuel Ogden Edison, William Pitt Edison, Carlile Snow Edison and had three sisters Eliza Smith Edison, Marion Wallace Edison, Harriet Ann.Thomas's …show more content…

Then in December of 1877 he developed a method for recording sound, and he didn’t built anything else for another decade .

Thomas came up with technology before he did with the first light bulb he brought technology to the masses he came up with the idea of building the first light bulb after inventor Humphry invention of the first electric lamp in earlys 1800s .So couple months later Edison bought a inventor name Woodward Plans for a light bulb because Woodward tried making a electric bulb with a vacuum and it didn’t work out . In 1879 he improved to his own light bulb.

In January of 1880 he set out companies that would deliver the electricity to power and light to the cities in the world , Later that year he found Edison Illuminating company , first investor company owned electric utility, which later was change to general electric corporation. Edison also created a storage battery that could power a electric car, He created a self-starter battery for the Model T that Henry Ford created in 1912, When WWI was happening the government ask him to work on some project for them so he did , Which he agreed to himself that he would never invent a weapon to kill someone.
Edison had three children and married a sixteen year old which she was a employed at one of his business so in 1884 his wife died at age of 29 which they said she died because of a brain tumor, edison died because of problems with his diabetes and he died in his home on October 18, 1931 in Glenmont in West Orange , New
