Noise pollution
Noise pollution is the exposure of unwanted noise or unpleasant sound that will disrupt the natural balance and also impacts the human and animal life. Sound is measured in the unit of decibels and according to the World Health Organization (WHO), prolonged exposure to noise levels at or above 80 decibels(db) can lead to deafness.
The poor urban planning will cause noise pollution, especially in country which are highly saturated with humans. The residental are built to near the industry area, railway station or highway that has large volume of disturbing noises. Second cause of noise pollution is the industrialization, most of the industries especially manufacturing sector involve the use of large machine facilities that are

Noise pollution will also lower the sleeping quality of human because of sleep disturbances by the air and land transportation at night, if this continues for a period of time it will lead to serious condition and high risk of getting depression. If the noise is louder than 140db or 120db for adults and children respectively, will cause deafness to the person. The area with serious noise pollution will also related to the low birth count and child development. (refer to appendix 14) The children are more sensitive to the noise, the children will develop hearing impairment or noise-pollution-related …show more content…
The residential area must be far away from the industries area and also from highway or airport, so that the effects towards the human will be lesser. The government should also implement law and strict rules to control noise pollution, as an example, the noise produce after midnight shouldn’t exceed a certain level. The industrial company are encourage to construct sound proof wall or improve their facilities to the one with less noises. Promotes reforestation and afforestation, as trees are proven to have the ability to dampen the volume of sound, more trees means less pollution. The usage of equipment such as loudspeakers headphones should be decrease to reduce the risk of noise
Throughout Canada, increasing use is being made of award winning Echo Sound Barriers to counteract noise pollution. As companies become aware of the advantages of the range of noise reduction solutions available from the Echo Barrier company, the impact of noise on the environment in Canada is reducing. This can only be an advantage to the health and welfare of the nation. Unacceptable levels of sound can come from many sources. Construction and building work, demolition sites, generators, airports and railways and even children playing in the garden can make life unbearable for those who live or work in close proximity.
DeekshithKumar Thadishetti Professor mankerian LS 690 July 31 2015 Climate change is one of the global issue that requires multiperspective approach. One of the key cause of climate change is air pollution. Air pollution occurs as a result of release of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. There are two key sources of air pollution that should be targeted if the air pollution is to be reduced. The first source is the industrial stationay sources, which include electric power facilities.
The new invention of the steam engine added to the pollution to the air due to the smoke released from the machines. With the release of chemicals from the machinery, the surrounding air that the citizens
There are many small changes that can be made to everyday tasks, ensuring that they pollute less. The quality of indoor pollution can greatly affect one's health. To improve your indoor air quality, just follow a few of these tips: Use gas logs instead of wooden logs in fire pits. If you do smoke do so outside to avoid causing others to inhale secondhand smoke. Try to use fewer pesticides(use other remedies) and aerosols, and search for more environmentally friendly, natural aerosols too.
A cast can’t seem to get Nothing On, a play they are acting in, to take off and become a full production. During the rehearsal, the cast struggles with the director to grasp the concept and cues of the play to execute the whole production. When the play is premiered, everything that could possibly go wrong with the play, does go wrong. This causes the rhythm to suffer for Nothing On. The rhythm for Noises Off was very fast paced.
Air pollutions rapid increase is not without our help, many causes and sources of this problem are attributed to
During the Industrialization, factories began to appear near rivers in the middle of villages. Despite all of the output of goods, it created many problems in the villages. “…Industrial growth brought with it a host of environmental pollution problems” (Document 3). This occurred because the towers released smoke and chemicals into the air, this impacted the farming in the villages by contaminating the crops. It also caused respiratory problems to many people that lived around the factory.
Air pollution pervasively impacts humanity as a global society. It results in minimized quality of life and initiates instability within the environment . Air pollution causes extensive detrimental health effects on the residents of Southern California, especially on select sensitive individuals, and has significant adverse impacts on the environment of Southern California. The health of individuals residing within the boundaries of Southern California is steadily tarnished by the destructive qualities of polluted air. The effects of air pollution on the human body over a relatively minimal amount of time are unlikely to have major effects on youthful and healthful individuals.
There’s a vast amount of issues going on in the state of Texas and no one seems to make an innovation. One of the biggest issue in the state of Texas is pollution in our cities. Based on my outside knowledge, no person seems to bother to make a change in our ecosystem. People seem to care less on how our environment’s health is and focus more in themselves, which is causing a more serious problem. Maybe not in that same time, but thorough the years, it’ll not just cause an issue in our environment, but also among ourselves.
Senior citizens and young infants are at risk of having breathing problems due to the unclean air. Our society is putting ourselves at risk by doing simple tasks that emit smog and smoke into our ecosystem. According to the World Health Organization, “The health burden of polluting energy sources is now so high, that moving to cleaner and more sustainable choices for energy supply, transport and food systems effectively pays for itself,” (Neira 1). This quote explains that our lungs are at serious risk when it comes to breathing in polluted air. FAQ air pollution Frequently Asked Questions, emphasizes, “Air pollution is caused by both human and natural sources.
The effects on people’s health is that air pollution can cause stroke, heart diseases, lung cancer or asthma. A mother of two boys said “On poor air quality days when my family has to breathe particles and ozone smog, my kids’ asthma gets worse. They cough and even have asthma attacks.” This proves that the air in China is so
By using data from various sources, they came to the conclusion that not only is air pollution exposure harmful to the respiratory and cardiovascular systems of the body, but that it also should be considered as a cause of inactivity in humans, as inactivity was shown to increase between 16-35% per exposure class in normal weight respondents. This article further shows evidence of the dangers of air pollution, which will be useful to show my audience that air pollution can negatively influence the activity levels of people. Also, it can show how this inactivity can cause high levels of obesity and other health problems. The source is credible because it is a peer-reviewed article published in a respected journal. I. Summary The San Antonio International Airport is considered to have noise issues. Property owners around the San Antonio airport have recently complained to city officials about the noise level surrounding the airport. In 2005, the San Antonio city started a program that would help reduce the noise levels around the international airport.
CHAPTER 1 1. INTRODUCTION The air we respire contains mixture of natural and man-made chemical, physical and biological elements that modifies ambient air quality. Among all air pollutants, the most threatening for human health include particulate matter and gaseous pollutants such as carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide (WHO). The movement of people into urban areas and the growth of industry within these areas has carried more people into contact with air pollution than any other time in recent memory.
Particulate Matter Air pollution is a serious environmental issue in the United States. Here in the states it majorly affects the air qualities of large cities, which exposes many people to its negative impact. There are specific tools that consider this issue, and observes factors that lead to it, as well as measure the quantities of specific matter in the air. Online there are maps and allergen count graphs, that provide data on different matter in the air. Researches look at pollen heavily in the air to measure air quality.
