Noise pollution
Noise pollution is the exposure of unwanted noise or unpleasant sound that will disrupt the natural balance and also impacts the human and animal life. Sound is measured in the unit of decibels and according to the World Health Organization (WHO), prolonged exposure to noise levels at or above 80 decibels(db) can lead to deafness.
The poor urban planning will cause noise pollution, especially in country which are highly saturated with humans. The residental are built to near the industry area, railway station or highway that has large volume of disturbing noises. Noise pollution will also lower the sleeping quality of human because of sleep disturbances by the air and land transportation at night, if this continues for a period of time it will lead to serious condition and high risk of getting depression. If the noise is louder than 140db or 120db for adults and children respectively, will cause deafness to the person. The area with serious noise pollution will also related to the low birth count and child development. The residential area must be far away from the industries area and also from highway or airport, so that the effects towards the human will be lesser. The government should also implement law and strict rules to control noise pollution, as an example, the noise produce after midnight shouldn’t exceed a certain level. The industrial company are encourage to construct sound proof wall or improve their facilities to the one with less noises. Promotes reforestation and afforestation, as trees are proven to have the ability to dampen the volume of sound, more trees means less pollution. The usage of equipment such as loudspeakers headphones should be decrease to reduce the risk of noise
