This lesson showed how I used tiered instruction when creating word problems for 2nd graders. I also adjusted this lesson and applied it to a 3rd grade lesson on word problems. Students who needed more support received clearer problems and sentences frames, while other students received unclear problem and needed to create their own sentences.
“Have you ever wondered what a human life is worth? That morning, my brothers was worth a pocket watch.” This quote from Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys was the beginning of a changing moment in my life. I never knew that at the age of 15 a book would change my life so much. Between Shades of Gray followed the story of a young Lithuanian girl and her family being ripped away from their home and being forced into a concentration camp in Siberia by the Soviet dictator, Joseph Stalin.
I’m gonna talk about the book “Night” that we have read in class during the second term. The story has for setting the time period of the WWII, in Europe. The story is about Elie, a jew and his family that are facing a lot of struggles because of their religion. Over the course of the book, Elie changes from believing in God to not believe in God. This is important to the book as a whole because it connects to the internal conflict.
(Please use 12pt font and do not go over two pages.) Specific goal for your lesson: What do you expect students to learn (and be able to do) at the end of this lesson? My main goal for this lesson is to teach each student to understand that in order for other people to understand what they are thinking, experiencing and writing about they need to use “concrete words, phrases
I noticed that after I finished my time monitoring sheet that, there is absolutely no reason for me not to complete my studies at GCU. I’m always available because I don’t have a job or children to take care of my only responsibility are my dogs. So now that I start school my biggest priority will be to do my school work and turn it in on time. But I did notice that I waste a lot of time doing nothing but, I guess that’s good in a way because now I can replace the time slots that I’m doing nothing, with studying so I can make better grades.
On the above date and time I responded to the Crab Shack, reference a medical call. Dispatch advised me that a female customer had passed out and needed medical attention. Upon arrival, I made contact with P.R.P.D. Engine 42 and Pasco County F.D. Rescue #11. The subject, later identified as Patricia Jeanne Brown, was laying prone on the ground next to a table at the bar.
When teachers use Concept Development strategies and ask questions to encourage children to use their critical thinking skills children obtain a deeper understanding of a concept or activity. In addition, it is important to encourage children to solve problems and be creative. “What some ways you provide opportunities for children to solve problems and be creative throughout the day?”
Student leaders, incoming freshman, and many other students of the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) student body gathered on Wednesday September 3, 2013 at the university Greek bowl for the annual “Meet and Greet” to engage with participants running in the Fall 2013 student government elections. Student Body President Stefan Weathers says “The Meet and Greet was a very nice event that I really feel put students out there in a way that they can connect with the student body and the university.” The event began roughly around six in the evening, which gave students enough time to be finished with classes and come and enjoy the festivities going on around campus. Sunny skies and a light breeze made it very easy for students to come

Shadowing was a great opportunity for me. It provides students a general overview about a certain career such as working conditions and nature of work. On the 14th of November, I shadowed Dr. Azhar Bustami, a dentist on 10043 E Adamo Dr, Tampa, FL 33619. Dr. Azhar was very welcoming and supportive. She tried her best with explaining the advantages and disadvantages of working as a dentist.

Psychologists have noted the significance of motivation in education because of the existing relationship between motivation and new learning skills, strategies and behavior [14]. According to Goral, factors such as the desire to solve problems, or interest in problem-solving skills, motivation and desire to succeed, a desire to please the teacher, etc., are all among the factors affecting problem-solving skills [15]. Adair believes that creative thinking improves in an environment where double motivation, feedback and constructive criticism (Creative Environment), exists [16]. According to Wertheimer, Mayer says: Facing difficulties, some people come up with smart ideas and offer creative solutions. However, it should be noted that it is not enough to solely focus on teaching problem-solving skills.
Introduction In this reflective essay I will reflect upon the course based on the assignments and projects I have accomplished this semester. Recent research (Kornblith, 2012:3) identifies that reflection is an active process and making sense of the experience through the understanding of one’s actions. As suggested by (Roberts, 2011:63) she states that the understanding of reflection have been used to develop an action stage, which can further help to improve my skills and knowledge towards my course. This is vital as it ensures that i get the most out of my learning experience and i could use them to their maximum benefit.
I started my junior year in here. I was involved in MCDC (multicultural diversity club); And also continuing working on ELL program and tutoring with Mr. Bierman after school. Therefore, the reason that I had to change my instructional plan was because, my students needed for me to model the lesson concept more than I had planned. Furthermore, the students were able to effectively complete their individual writing assignment after I added additional time to model for them each step of the writing
The Matrix was one of my most favorite movies when I was a kid, mainly because of the actions and explosions involved in it. Moreover, the film has been one of the greatest science fiction films of all time. But the movie isn’t all about action scenes and explosions, it does have meaning to it. The main plot was about learning about the truth of the Matrix. The main protagonist, Neo, believed that something isn’t right with the world.
