Although she had the skills, clients, and motivation, there were still people trying to bring her down, the ones she had least expected. “People who were very close to me told me that I shouldn’t have opened up a shop, that I should have continued to work from home,” she says. “It was comments like those that motivated me the most.” She was told that she wasn’t responsible enough to be on her own by her father and her brother and she knew that even family would doubt her success.
“Breakfast at Tiffany’s is something I do once a month to show my clients appreciation for their business, so since you’re apart of my clientele, let 's take a break and grab some breakfast.” Despite the fact that she had a lot of doubters she always had plenty of people in her corner and she made sure they knew they were appreciated. Tiffany has been my nail tech for about since I was about fifteen years old, she has become more just my nail tech, she 's like family, and overtime I have grown to look up
Georgia O’Keeffe was born in 1887 in rural Wisconsin, and by the young age of 10 decided she wanted to be an artist. She was taught by a local watercolorist named Sara Mann in her younger years, and went on to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1905 to 1906. In 1908 O’Keeffee stopped painting for 4 years because she disliked the more traditionalist style of painting she had been taught. She was inspired to paint again by Arthur Wesley Dow who taught a less traditional style. Her art progressed from this point, and she had her first solo exhibit in 1917.
A Chauvin woman who was stabbed to death at a Grand Isle beach Sunday was a generous woman who loved photography and gardening, and did everything she could for her three kids despite being an amputee, her sister-in-law said. Jennifer Dozier was at the beach near Cypress Lane around 10:30 p.m. Sunday when a fight broke out between her and her boyfriend of nearly two years, Randy Paul Marcel, of Pine Street in Chauvin, police said. The fight, which witnesses say started over drugs or cigarettes, culminated in Dozier, 34, being stabbed the multiple times in the neck and torso, said Glen Boyd, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office public information officer. Marcel left Dozier's 2-year-old son, Gabriel, with his mother's body and left the scene, police said.

They traveled so she can promote her products in 1907 to the south and southeast. Her husband has inspired her to name the products, “Madam C.J. Walker” so people can recognize the product a little better. She started her own company, “Beauty Empire” that sold her products nationally to the African American community.

Behind every great nurse is a great leader. Leaders help establish a drive and a commitment to achieve a goal, and they provide skills to make it achievable. Through some research, a nurse leader that I have come to admire and respect is Patricia R. Johnson, MN, RN. Johnson is Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. By possessing and using leadership skills, impacting others around her, and being a great team player are reasons why Johnson is successful as a nurse leader.

For this assignment I chose the children’s story, I Love My Hair by Natasha Tarpley. Published in 2001, I Love My Hair is a story about a young African American girl, Keyana. In the book, Keyana talks about sitting between her mama’s knees and having her hair combed every night just before she goes to sleep. Keyana mentions that while her mama uses coconut oil and is gentle when combing her hair, it sometimes still hurts, especially when her mama combs over the tangled places. Keyana tries hard not to cry but a few tears manage to come out as Keyana yells “Stop mama!”
Acrylic Nails There is nothing more attractive on a person that completes your look than a good set of Acrylic Nails. If done correctly can add a look of extreme class and sexiness while being attractive and clean looking. In an office setting they can look professional and at night they can look sleek and fun. What You Do In the Dark Shall Come to Light “Nobody’s ever been arrested for a murder; they have only ever been arrested for not planning it properly”(Hayes) There has always been murders out there but it is the unintelligent ones who get caught. Rather it is a baby farmer who is rumored to have killed over 400 children, a man who decided to control women and bending them to his own sadistic desires, or a woman who rapes, mutilates, and kills girls with her husband. Not all the skeletons in Britain’s closet are as well known as Jack the Ripper but they are just as cruel and unusual serial killers, such as Amelia Dyer, and the couple Fred and Rosemary West .
Alice Paul There are many notable women in the world. The one that is most notable is Alice Paul. She was a woman who fought for women’s rights her entire life. She was a simple woman educated in sociology and law.
Although Madam Walker had little to value, and not enough to be around, she managed to have what others didn’t, a successful business that reached many places. Madam Walker displays a lesson that everyone should follow; if you stumble upon a problem and can’t find a solution, look to see what you have in your surroundings and you will find your answer after doing the necessary and effective work. I admire Madam Walker very much and is now my role model because of her optimism and that she doesn’t give up on anything easily. After all Walker was going through, her daughter, her low paid job and her study hours, she managed to do many things and excel to be one of the most famous women in history. As Madam Walker cared for others, it shows that she was a worthy woman to do great things.

Any individual interested should be looking at every available aspect on the field they would like to start a career in. Becoming a nail technician people are
Now she continues to learn about new trends, rules and abilities to use in her designs. Overall I learned how hard it can be to follow this career path from high school all they way through College, but no matter how hard it can be you can never give up. I also learned to give myself credit and not critique every little detail or else it will lead to me hating my own work. There are different types of programs to use to get practice as a graphic designer.
