From the dark, ominous tones to the intense, emotional moments there is no doubt that Tim Burton movies are vastly different from others. As a director, his imaginative abilities were shown in his first real hit movie, ‘Beetlejuice.’ This movie solidified Burton’s name in Hollywood. This allowed him to direct more movies that really showcase him as a director. The next movie, ‘Batman’, was a film Burton also directed. It became one of the most successful movies of the year and was Burton’s biggest box-office hit. He was allowed to create any film he wanted after that, so in 1990 he created the film ‘Edward Scissorhands’(IMDb).This movie was emotionally intense, and showcased all of the dark quirky tones that Tim Burton movies were known for. All of these movies, and many more show that Burton used his abilities to the best of his abilities. Rather than spending the rest of his life as a Disney animator, Burton sought out to create his own works. This allowed him to direct and create many influential movies that would not have been successful if it weren’t for his imaginativeness being funneled into it. Another successful movie was his original idea, ‘Alice in Wonderland’. His movie went on to win two Academy Awards for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design (TheFamousPeople). This was in 2010. All which have such a unique story line and very fun films to watch.
