The Truth About War Tim O'Brien's short story talks about how war is not all about killing someone or blowing someone up. There a lot more to war. Like being scared, Nervous, Happy, Exciting, and tiring. In the short story “Where Have You Gone Charming Billy” ‘Talks about how when the soldiers are walking through the forest in the dark of night how nervous and scared they are.’ In the short story Tim O’Brien wants people to understand what war about. War can be emotional, scary, and exciting. He wants people to know that it hard to make the decision to see if the other guy is a treat or not and to kill him or not to. When Tim tells the story he starts to get emotional. Even the story is fake he made it sound so real it that how sad it is.
