For my Time Management Calendar, I chose that basic chart method. I wasn’t really surprised with how much time I had left in my day because I don’t have too much going on in my life. I’m a stay at home Mom, I try to plan things so that I’m not just sitting at home doing nothing. With so little things I have going on every day, it’s pretty easy for me to plan when to do work assignments. Depending on if I’m going out with my boyfriend and some friends I’ll do all my assignments during the week and leave maybe 2 assignments for the weekend. If I’m not going out, I like to save my assignments for the weekend since I’m usually at home bored because it gives me something to do. My boyfriend helps out a lot with our son on the weekends so he will take our son and do something while I’m busy doing homework and it works for me. …show more content…
If I were working at my old job and doing what I used to do, I would be running around like a chicken with no head. It would be very stressful working from the afternoon to almost midnight and then coming home exhausted I’m very much happy with how things are now. Knowing that every week I don’t have to rush to do my assignments because of other engagements is such a great feeling. I can go to the gym for two hours, take my son to a Gymboree class, or just take him outside for most of the day and still come home and be able to deal with school in no rush my schedule has worked out pretty good for me so far. I do plan on taking more classes so we will see if things change or stay the same. The one thing that hasn’t gone so well that I am still working on is doing assignments that tend to take longer than I expected on the night the assignment is due. All the time I have to do it sometimes I don’t know what to talk about, but every time I do it the day it’s due it’s like light clicks on and so many ideas just start coming out and the words are just flowing
I have a calendar that I use to write all assignments. My planner allows me to keep track of all my daily tasks, which is great. To prioritize my assignments, I would place assignments in order based on major assignments versus minor assignments, meaning I would weigh the assignments based on which assignment weighs more as a grade and which assignment is less important or repetitive. Beginning with and spending more time on the major assignment than on anything else; I would complete the daily, recurring assignments that does not make up a significant portion of my final grade
I have taken responsibility for what I have done in the past and are pushing myself to work harder to reach all my goals to make me a better person within society. I have faced many challenges as well as setbacks this past year, but I have and I know I can find a way to manage my time to reach my full potential. I find myself juggling school and my full course load, club volleyball, work and making my car payments, getting a decent amount of sleep and having a social life. I do admit it can be overwhelming at times
On those days at school I know that I have to get most of my homework done there because I know that I won’t have enough time when I get home from school to do it before I leave for practice. Also time management has helped me with school work in general. During study hall I know what work I have to do and how much time I need to spend on it so I know that I’ll also have time to do my other work that I may have to do that day.
My work schedule is something that I need to adjust in order to succeed this semester. I work long hours and 6 days out the week. I have asked to be part time so my schedule should be changing any time soon. 4.4 reflection 1. the workload is what I expected.
The calendar is an important thing we use to tell time. There are calendars all across the nation in school, in our homes, in our businesses, and many other places.
The foundations of the modern world were laid by the civilizations of the Eastern hemisphere. Many things such as calendars, roads, and government were all the inventions and ideas of the ancient civilizations of the Eastern hemisphere. These things still have great impact on our daily lives and influence over move we make. The calendar that is used most often was invented by Pope Gregory during the Middle Ages (Doc. 4).
My quality world entails several aspects of what I dream of. College being the first step into the real world is a crucial necessity for my success. In order to have a successful life in my book, I need to acquire the education I want for my careers. It’s important that I learn study skills in college that I will use in real life, such as: organization, time management, networking, asking the right questions and empathy. Time management allows me to use my time effectively or productively, whether I’m at work, home, or school.
My parents first started off with nothing when they entered the United States from Mexico. My parents did not get far in their education due to problems in their family needing the extra help. They had to work even harder, especially my dad, when they had me to buy a home to live in. They were new to parenthood, new to living on their own, did not speak English that well, and did not have much at the beginning. They worked hard to get where we are at to this very day, they had great discipline, and great work ethic to give me and my family a comfortable living, one they were not able to have as children.
I was so unaware that most of my work would be online along with in class instruction and most assignments would be due at same time. Also, the discussion boards were a thing that would be graded. So, trying to handle five classes; two online and three in the class, has been a challenge. The final challenge has been the hardest, which is spending time taking care of my grandchildren. I have custody of them and there is never enough
Then suddenly you’re down to the wire and your brain experiences a deluge of stress and information overload. This only causes a drain on your energy, causing you to lose sight of the task at hand. Enjoy the Ride It isn’t all fun and games, but take note of where you stumble or your motivation dips- you can then come up with a solution to prevent that from becoming an issue again. You may see a pattern emerge, which allows you to arrange your schedule as required.
Typically I wait until the last minute to do something. This often works but it is really stressful and probably not the best thing to do. Sometimes I will just never do the assignment. To improve these habits i'm going to start setting the deadline for these assignments an few days earlier then they are assigned. This way I can make myself do it before its due.
Which doesn’t come natural to me and is quite troubling for me. Now, I feel that I can through writing a cohesive essay with help from the book and the class lectures. For example, I just now learned that argument essays are meant for stating an opinion not providing someone with persuasive material, which I can use for my next courses. The most challenging task for me was keeping up with the writing assignments, both the essays and the journals. However, going along in the course I have found to prioritize my time to fit one hour every two days to writing an essay to be finished on time.
Time management: Time management is a very crucial component if you are willing to have a productive lifestyle. To be honest, I have always had issues with managing my time efficiently. This problem had become a huge obstacle once I got into college. Thus, attending a lecture that focuses on time management helped me a lot with this problem by introducing me to different aspects related to time management: planning, SMART goals, and important/urgent matrix. Learning to make a specific plan for my daily tasks and make a to-do list to make my day as productive as possible is something very helpful which was advised to me by the instructor of this lecture Mr. Irfan.
Instead of forgetting about an assignment that is due tomorrow, a student can already be ahead of the game by knowing when things are due. One way is to get a planner. A planner is a great way to keep organized. Use the syllabus the teachers give you, and write down the assignments that are due ahead of time. This allows the student to get a look of what is coming up.
This also gave me time to memorize my speech and put more emotion into it, that way I can show my audience I was serious about my subject. Once I found out about the topic of my speech, I knew exactly what I wanted to talk about. The night before I checked on my assignment was actually the night I based my speech on. I sat beside my friend
