College students ' learning life is relatively liberalized, so they have higher requirements for time independent planning. According to the questionnaire about SCUT students’ time planning [1], there are 45.1% students said the enforcement of the time schedule they made wasn’t very high. It’s high time for college students to raise the ability of time planning. The essay analyzes the methods of making more efficient time planning in various aspects, including making achievable goals, overcoming procrastination and using fragmentary time.

College students ' common 10 kinds of fragmentary time are the time for waiting for people, taking a bus, waiting for meal, riding, walking, lining up, eating, staying in toilet, recessing and the time before bed time. [6] Firstly, college students can take some time planning training courses, just like Weinstein’s training [7] to improve the ability of fragmentary time management. Secondly, according to the length of time, categories of behaviors, and time categories sort things out. Thirdly, allocate things to fragmentary time. For example, students can recite vocabularies while waiting for the bus. Listening to the news while running is also available. When college students take advantage of fragmentary time, they will find time is
1. Weekly Planning – Observing weekly tasks, prioritising short term jobs and allocating time slots for a weeks’ worth of work. Included would be allocated time frames and tasks for the days, setting out what needs to be done and for how long. Even such things as going through emails, talking with staff, having computer input and discussing matters of importance should be included to reduce stress and time pressures from the individual. This creates a meaningful and realistic plan for greater time management and something to aim for while undertaking tasks for the greatest efficiency.
College is difficult. Because I am a first semester student, I know that I am facing many challenges. One of the challenges is making a schedule because classes have different days and different times. Creating a schedule becomes even more difficult if students have a job or children to take care of.
Students never have a complete experience except on the installment plan (Gatto, part I, pars 11). I received flashbacks from my childhood, when I knew there could have been additional work to do before the bell rang. I always ended up being swept away into a completely different environment to advance skills in a random field of knowledge. To counter my agreement, the set class times did help in my erudition to what studies I relished more and the areas which I felt were unbearable. This determined my time management based on interests outside of school.
A full-time flexible schedule demonstrates the need and usefulness of time management techniques. It is even more imperative to stay on top of my educational workload and while juggling full-time jobs. The most precious resource is time, and learning to control time is the key to academic success.
My quality world entails several aspects of what I dream of. College being the first step into the real world is a crucial necessity for my success. In order to have a successful life in my book, I need to acquire the education I want for my careers. It’s important that I learn study skills in college that I will use in real life, such as: organization, time management, networking, asking the right questions and empathy. Time management allows me to use my time effectively or productively, whether I’m at work, home, or school.
The Importance of Being On Time Respect is something that we all desire, but earning it is no easy task. One of the most respectable traits anyone can have, civilian or soldier can have is time management. When you report for duty, or be on time for your date, time management should be a must. By not managing your time well, you could disrupt not only the course of your day, but others as well. Keeping your word and showing up on time shows that you are reliable and appreciate the other person's time as well.
Being on time is one of the most common things you can find in any policy that is out there, whether it is for a job, school, and even the military. Being on time is one of the simplest of things that you can do to show that you have discipline, respect, and responsibility. This can also be one of the key factors that can hinder you from you reaching your goals, and completing any task that you need to complete. Missions and operations have many moving and connecting pieces that function together as a whole depending on a time sensitive plan. Being on time is probably the most common requirement in anything that you will do in life.
How good are you with scheduling ? Do you even have a planned schedule? A consistent schedule is great to have to maintain order. In the essay ,"Up Against the Clock" by Linda Riley , the author provides the reader with information about her experience on how having a ruled schedule impacted her college life . Having a ruled schedule provides discipline, guidelines ,and rewarded results.
Isaac Rodgers 24-Jun-15 The Importance of Being on Time and Organized For Appointments Time management is important because it shows that you care making the appointments on time. When making an appointment that is one thing that you should be aware of and an appointment is considered to be your place of duty when scheduled. The seven army values can be applied when it comes to appointments. Starting with loyalty you are saying that you are going to make it to your place of duty in return making you loyal.
I learned in this activity how crucial time management skills will be to my ability to complete this course successfully. The analysis from the questionnaire (Table 2) as well as keeping a record of what activities I focus on for a couple of days, opened my eyes to a few areas of improvement. From the patterns observed I could see that most of my time was taken up by work and commitments as well as procrastination. Not being able to juggle theses successful led to irritation and was unproductive. Research suggests that managing ones emotions, being self-aware and self-motivate can be factors for success for a student (Allan, 2009).
Time management is important to have because it helps get work done more efficiently and is a way to manage your priorities. Priorities along with making commitments are also learned from participating in a extra activity. Students learn how to prioritize their work when in activities while also finding a balance of everything else going on in their life; commitment is also learned but showing that a student needs to be 100% involved to put in their best effort to whatever they choose to do and to be be successful doing it. “Various research studies have lined participation in student activities to higher math and english grades, improved grades and homework completion, better performance on math, reading and science test, and an increased likelihood of applying to college” (Annemarie Mannion).
Students face various challenges throughout their college career. Thus, the problems that students have can range from balance, new lifestyle, to financial problems. Therefore, finding a balance between being a student, possibly working, and keeping up with their social life is a necessity. Similarly, others are away from home for the first time thus, they have a new responsibility with being on their own and findings ways to deal with homesickness. Likewise, being exposed to new financial situations is yet another challenge college students will need to learn how to cope with.
2.6 Tasks Usually my work starts at 8:30 every morning and ends around 5:30 pm. Usually I will go to work by taxi or Light rail transit which is more convenient than driving a car in heavy traffic. I always check my emails when I get to work and reply them immediately. When I am at my desk I usually works on the computer most of the time. Besides that, my main duties and responsibility include Human Resource filing and database.
College is full of experience and to get that experience students need to get involved in campus and use all the resources that their campus offer. For my first semester at university I learned lots of information that helped me go through my first semester and I will keep using this resources until I graduate. and these resources are not just for school but also for my personal life. The first thing I have learned in college is how to manage my time and it's important to know that skill so that I would not waste time doing nothing and get schoolwork done and it won’t make me stressful because I have many assignment and project to do. and to always get done with my priority first which is my school work.
Time management: Time management is a very crucial component if you are willing to have a productive lifestyle. To be honest, I have always had issues with managing my time efficiently. This problem had become a huge obstacle once I got into college. Thus, attending a lecture that focuses on time management helped me a lot with this problem by introducing me to different aspects related to time management: planning, SMART goals, and important/urgent matrix. Learning to make a specific plan for my daily tasks and make a to-do list to make my day as productive as possible is something very helpful which was advised to me by the instructor of this lecture Mr. Irfan.
