My personal Michigan hero is Timothy J. Ott, my dad. My dad served in the Navy even before I was born, and when I was born. Even though my dad was out to sea for the first few years of my life, he really made up for it 100%. My dad’s greatest qualities have to be that he is very smart, tough, loving, cool, and is an extremely hard worker. When I’m having trouble on algebra homework, he helps me. When I need help finding any measurements of something I need to make/build, he always is there for me. He wakes up at around five-thirty a.m. to get ready for work at the COOK Nuclear Plant. He works as an environmentalist and loves his job and sometimes, he gets to bring me on fishing trips to catch for dinner and for samples. My dad also does a
My hero is Thomas Jefferson, he doesn't have a middle name. It says in the book “Thomas Jefferson Architect of Democracy” he was born on April 13, 1743. One of his quotes is “In matters of style, swim with the current;in matters principle, stand like a rock.” Another one is “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” Yet before Thomas Jefferson became a hero he was a regular child.
Long ago, about 2000 years, when King Herod ruled Judea (now part of Israel), God sent the angel Gabriel to a young woman who lived in the northern town of Nazareth. The girl's name was Mary and she was engaged to marry Joseph. The Christmas Story - Gabriel visiting Mary The angel Gabriel said to Mary: 'Peace be with you! God has blessed you and is pleased with you.'
“A true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart” -Zeus My Michigan hero isn’t famous or perfect. But he has been by my side since the day I was born. Even if you are sick, you will always be there when I have band concerts, softball games, birthday parties, or just needing someone to pick me up from school. Dale Rochefort is my great grandfather. He was born on July 24, 1936 in Garden, Michigan.
Heroism Who is your hero? It may be your dad or, perhaps another family member, one that you have known your whole life as a hero. Maybe it is a fictional character. A person that you don't know or have never seen, but still you think of them as a hero.
My personal Michigan hero is my seventh grade social studies teacher, Ms. Dokter. Though I am not a personal friend of hers, per say, she had a tremendous impact on my life. She made me laugh, told me that I could do whatever I put my mind to, and was an amazing educator. Seventh grade was tough for me at times. I was at a new school, and it seemed like everyone knew what they were doing except me.
But while we were walking down the dirt road to our next fishing hole I slipped. I almost fell off a rocky hill but my dad caught me. He was my hero that day, and he always has been. That day he may have saved me from breaking a few of my bones, and maybe even death. I love my dad so much.
My Michigan Hero “The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It’s not that we seize them, but that they seize us.” - Ashley Montagu. That quote is one of the best quotes that captures my hero. My hero, Dan McPartlin (my grandfather) has had it rough.
There are many amazing people from Michigan that have impacted me in some way, but there is one person that I really admire. Tyler Oakley is a 26 year old YouTuber who grew up in Michigan. Tyler is my Michigan hero because he is always positive and tries to make people happy with his videos. There are characteristics about him that people might dislike, but he shows everyone that being confident is all it takes to ignore the negativity. Tyler Oakley may seem like just another YouTube star to some people, but there is a lot more to him than that label.
My Michigan Hero,Nancy Chapman Who is your hero? My hero is my Mom. She has always taught me to work hard at all that you do and never quit. She works two jobs and still has time for me and my brother she runs junior golf tournaments and sells jewellery.
I can not remember a year where I was as excited for the Vikings season and then this goes and happens. Twenty minutes into practice on Tuesday Teddy Bridgewater took a snap from under center and as he was dropping back to pass he screamed in agony and went down. He suffered some sort of non contact knee injury. Everybody in the building could tell how serious the injury was by the reaction of the players, some cursed, some threw helmets, and some even prayed.
We go to church together on Sundays, he was there when I rededicated my life to Christ, he helped me through the deaths of some family friends, Madison Bartle and Craig Schmidt. I have gastroparesis, which is a disease that affects my stomach muscles and prevents proper emptying. He took care of me and stayed with me when I was being hospitalized for a bowel obstruction. He also took helped me when I strained my MCL by carrying my backpack and books around school. When he broke my finger he made sure nobody made fun of me, mostly because he was the one who broke it (he stepped on it.)
For example, a 15 year old boy named Temar Boggs who did something incredible.. A little girl was missing for 2 hours until Temar and a friend noticed her in the back seat of a car. Temar and his friend chased the car for 15 minutes until the car stopped to finally let the little girl. Once they took the 5 year old to the police, everyone called them heroes. Words could not describe how happy they were.
Who inspires you? What inspires you? Majority of people are inspired by something or someone whether by a TV show, a character, an actor, a hero, or even something as simple as a good book all are inspired to do something for the world or for themselves. John Strader, former Oncology physician assistant at UNC hospital, ebola clinical doctor, and my inspiration and real life superhero. Ever since I met Strader as my mom’s physician assistant while she had leukemia he has been nothing less than special, kind, caring, and a great person not only to me, but to my mom and my entire family.
He has passed on attributes such as honesty and respect and I hope to perfect these attributes and pass them down to my children once I am married. My parents have also influenced me in many ways such
I have always admired my dad and could say he is my biggest super hero. My father is the best example in my life, and he has proven to me that anything is possible when you want to accomplish great success, with hard work and determination. I really look up to my dad because with his intelligence and
