In the novel Pankration, there were a series of characters that had quite a big influence on Nic all through the story, some of the people changed him for the better and for the worst. Tiso made a big impact by giving Nic friendship when he was in a time of desperation. And Gellius acted like a father figure in some way to Nic through the course of the novel. There were many influential people in the book but some had bigger impacts on other people than most, but these are the ones with the biggest impact on Nic.
Tiso was a very influential character in the story, even though he was only in it for such a short time he had changed the mindset of Nic. In the story, he had helped Nic in many different ways, whether t be giving him food when he was a slave or killing a fellow slave to save Nic. Tiso also became very close when they ran away from slavery, that was why when Tiso died it had such a big influence on Nic. “Memories of Tiso filled his mind: the many times the black slave had stopped the mindless, cruel torment that Scopas had enjoyed so much; the many times Tiso had slipped a little extra food onto Nic’s pouch- and the cough that had been his trademark sound.” (pg. 96-97). The things that Nic said about Tiso's show how he had helped him even if it meant risking his life and giving up

The two characters (Nic and Gellius) had only known each other for a short period of time before Nic was taken by pirates and sold into slavery. And when he was taken Gellius had given Nic hope even if Gellius wasn't with Nic. “I’ll be searching for him,” he finished weakly. “If I can, I’ll find him.” (pg.90). This shows that even after all this time Gellius still had hope to find Nic and to bring him back to Artemis, even after all this time. Gellius is much like Tiso, both were characters that had only known Nic for a short period of time, but they still had a big impact on Nic's
Throughout Ceremony, Tayo continuously had flashbacks to when Uncle Josiah was alive. These flashbacks generally conveyed some type of story that taught Tayo a lesson. Josiah’s particular lesson that pertained to Tayo’s current situation with the cattle was that “beating the mare would not make the spotted cattle appear” (180). This lesson related to Tayo’s experiences with the war. For example, because of the war, Emo developed an extremely violent and hateful attitude toward the Japanese; however, in his case, hating the Japanese would not make the white men hate the Natives any less or vice versa.
He must become a diplomat and work for others. She also references that “great characters are formed” whilst doing something difficult. This includes Cicero which she gives as a direct example, and recites the events of Cicero, Cataline, Verres, and Mark Anthony.

This caused him to question his own philosophies and why humans act the way they do, thus he no was longer simple. These events created an introspective meaning for the work as a whole by manifesting human nature. T.H White uses Arthur as an example by having the readers analyze how he reacts to the people who revolve around his life to convey his opinion. Arthur was just like any other person, as time passed he became more wise due to experiences looking back at his mistakes and avoids repeating
Some classmates felt that his last shred of hope to keep him alive was his hatred for the party while others agreed that his love for Julia would help him from conforming back to the ideals of the party. When discussing what another classmates have found in class it has helped me to understand other points I might have overlooked in the novels we have read. I have improved from these activities by writing down other points and
Through his story, Douglass proves that slavery has negative effects on slaveholders. He uses imagery, flashbacks, and characterization to persuade the reader of the true nature of slavery. His deep thoughts and insights of slavery and the unbalanced power between a slaveholder and his slave are unprompted for a social establishment. Douglass insists that slaveholding fills the soul with sadness and bitter anguish. In addressing effects of slavery on masters cause one man to rethink his moral character and better understand the laws of humanity.

In the epic, within which many episodes are interlinked, depicts an image of a kind who underwent development and tends to understand the world where he was living. Within the version of the Babylonian, hero Gilgamesh 's character is best compared to Achilles. While comparing the characters of Achilles and Gilgamesh, he (Gilgamesh) changed and his nature was affected duet the presence and absence (loss) of Enid his comrade, thus the nature of Enkidu was static. Achilles ' nature and character followed the same pattern as that of Gilgamesh as he was also influenced by the presence and loss of Patroclus his comrade.
The extent of his friendship is shown by this, warming the heart of readers. Another powerful example of his friendships extent is when William Bee answered, “‘Ender, if you 're on one side of the battle, it won 't be equal no matter what the conditions are.’ ‘Right!’, called the boys. Many of them laughed. Talo Momoe began clapping his hands.
The stories of his triumph over the monsters spread throughout the land, affecting the other’s views on him as a loyal man and a hero through it all. In
The book, Percy Jackson: The Battle Of The Labyrinth, by Rick Riordan is an amazing book about a group of demigods (half human half god) that have to save their camp from being destroyed by the evil forces of Kronos. Kronos is a titan that the gods banished to the deepest part of the underworld (Tartarus) after a war against them. Now that the titans are rising once again, the protagonists must travel through an ancient Labyrinth to stop them from demolishing their camp and temporarily halt them from achieving their goal of destroying Mount Olympus and the gods. This literary analysis will show the interesting relationships between some of the characters, and how the setting that they were in affected them throughout their journey.
