An error that could have been present during the lab includes not letting the zinc react completely with the chloride ions by removing the penny too early from the solution. For instance, the percent error of this lab was 45.6%, which was determined by the subtraction of the theoretical percent of Cu 2.5% and the experimental percent of Cu 3.64% and dividing by the theoretical percent of Cu 2.5%. This experiment showed how reactants react with one another in a solution to drive a chemical reaction and the products that result from the
I, Karina Rodriguez, I’m a family friend from the Perez Since 2001, Ana Cristina Perez has devote her whole life for her children providing them with love, food, shelter, medicine, and tuition payment for Arturo’s education. The divorce was hard on him, but thanks to the unconditional love and support that his other provides, he is be able to move on with a normal teenage live. The family bound in between the Perez family is
After I obtained this and measured the mass to make sure I had the right amount, I then added it to my blue solution from the last step of the lab. I placed a watch glass on the beaker and continued to watch the chemical reaction take place and recorded what happened. There was lots of bubbling and come condensate that formed on the watch glass. The Zn began to transform into copper and started floating on top of the liquid after the blue color quality was changed into clear. I stirred periodically to make sure all the bubbling was finished.
“The Old Grandfather and His Little Grandson” and “Abuelito Who” compare and contrast Literary Analysis’ Almost every folk tale and poem express a universal theme or central idea, which are found in “The Old Grandfather and His Little Grandson” and “Abuelito Who.” The two literary works share the writing attributes of characters and the message that the readers receive from the passage, but , they are both categorized under two different genres. The reason why the characters in “The Old Grandfather and his Little Grandson” and “Abuelito Who” are extremely similar is because they both are described with identical characters. Also, their universal themes happen to disseminate the exact same moral, while the authors wrote them in two dissimilar writing styles.
Looking into the story “A Good Man is Hard To Find”, you can determine that this story has a rather dark and thrilling story plot. Even more so when you start to dig deeper into learning more information about a character and the way they function and present themselves in a story. All the characters in this story have great information to offer, but the most prominent character is the grandmother who constantly is causing trouble, and uncertainty. The grandmother, of all characters, has the most promising personality to look deeper into. By looking deeper into the meaning of a character, we can infer good information about the story, and how a characters personality can affect the plot.

Abstract: The purpose of this experiment was to identify given Unknown White Compound by conducting various test and learning how to use lab techniques. Tests that are used during this experiment were a flame test, ion test, pH test, and conductivity test. The results drawn from these tests confirmed the identity of the Unknown White Compound to be sodium acetate (NaC2H3O2) because there were no presence of ions and sodium has a strong persistent orange color. The compound then will be synthesized with the compounds Na2CO3 and HC2H3O2 to find percent yield.
In order to be accepted in the current social society, you must follow a certain set of norms throughout life. Social norms are the unwritten rules on behavior that are expected and established opinions on what is appropriate and what is not. People who do not follow these instilled norms may be casted aside, judged, or suffer a consequence. Society’s expectations have dictated what normal human behavior is that people conform to as a way of life. These norms, however, are not set in stone, so they may be challenged.
This caused her to alienate herself since her mother asked her to keep a part of herself hidden from the world by binding her and making sure no one found out she menstruated ealy (Anzaldúa 1983, 221). This will later isolate her further but ultimately lead her to reflect on the racism that surrounds her. In addition, Anzaldúa’s identity also suffer because she denied her heritage and the traditions that with it. She mentions that she felt ashamed of her mother and her loud tendencies, it is an archetype that most Hispanic mothers are loud by nature, and the fact that her lunches, or “lonches”, consisted
In the reading from We Are Your Sisters: Black Women in the Nineteenth Century, Dorothy Sterling explores the many experiences of mainly African American women during the period of the Reconstruction era. Sterling states “whites put aside random acts of violence in favor of organized terror.” She focuses a lot on those experiences that involves the Ku Klux Klan (who were the organization responsible for these organized terror) and in a way, it seems fair because they were the main perpetrators of hate crimes against the African American community. The first few examples provided in the reading offer accounts of African American women whose husbands are often targets of the Ku Klux Klan because they were politicians or high-profile radicals in the South.
America the free, land of opportunity--but only if you fit a specific mold. Slaves, especially women, were certainly not included. Even after their emancipation, African Americans struggled with exclusion, whether it be direct, indirect, political, social or other. James Baldwin, an African American man, contrasts the types of oppression he, and others, have faced in “A Letter to my Nephew” , drawing parallels from slavery to the discrimination of the 60’s. He explains how many think blacks must assimilate into “white” culture, but, in reality, it must be those who think that way who must escape from the mentality of needing to assimilate.
Out of all the people in the world who works hard, keeps every household together also the one who deserves more and beyond would of course be our mothers. Williams is a phenomenal author and illustrator in the picture book A Chair for My Mother. Williams achieved a Caldecott Metal award for her great work. The characters in A Chair for My Mother are a daughter, a mother and a grandmother who save up coins for the mother that deserves all and more to get her a nice comfy yet the perfect beautiful chair in replace of her old chair that burned in their previous home.
Empirical Formula of Magnesium Oxide - Lab Report Background Information/Introduction: The aim of this lab is to determine the empirical formula of magnesium oxide by converting magnesium to magnesium oxide. As an alkali earth metal, magnesium reacts violently when heated with oxygen to produce magnesium oxide and magnesium nitride as a byproduct. In order to obtain only magnesium oxide, distilled water was added so that magnesium nitride will react and convert to magnesium hydroxide. Further heating then oxidizes all of the magnesium into magnesium oxide.
