Strengthen Tolerance and Unity Among Malaysians

The definition of tolerance is the ability or willingness to tolerate the existence of opinion or behaviour that one dislikes or disagrees with which as stated in While unity defines as the state of being united or joined as a whole. According to the article title Strengthen Tolerance and Unity Among Malaysians written by Lokman Mansor, there are three points that Malaysians need to improve on. I agree with the statement where there are three important issues that need to be resolved.

One of the common problem in Malaysia is lack of empathy towards human suffering. Nowadays, cases of bullying have been filling the news and social media. In her article “Bullied, murdered UPNM naval cadet: Five students charged with murder,” Shanti Gunaratnam explains:
Zulfarhan, 21, a third year students died on June 1 at 9pm at the Serdang Hospital, allegedly due to bullying. According to the reports, Zulfarhan was brought to the hospital with severe injuries, including burns on his body, believed to be from having a steam iron passed onto his chest, hands and feet.
Bullying can be express in different ways and level. As a human, we must have sympathy. Sympathy is defined as feeling of pity and sorrow for someone else’s misfortune which as stated in Every people needs to feel sympathy to overcome the problem of human suffering. The importance of sympathy among Malaysians can motivates us to comfort those who suffer. When you have someone show you sympathy it makes you feels goods and it makes you know that they valued how you felt. So, it helps the person that in pain becoming more positive and happiest person in the world. In fact, sympathy is so important to the future of our country to avoid human suffering and to live happily and peacefully with each
