Tomahawk
The tool I’m writing about is the Tomahawk(small throwing weapon.) pre- columbian tribes need this weapon because it has many different uses. They also need this tool because it is very important to many tribes.
The Tomahawk is small. second it is a symbol of warfare. Third it is a ceremonial device. Last the Tomahawk is important for many wars and reenactments for historical battles.
Pre-columbian tribes used a variety of tools. As I have said tribes need this tool because it quick, and powerful. Also without this tool tribes could not hunt as well. Fourth this tool is very quite when hunting. Last if a tribe was attacked by something someone could quickly kill it.
Thank

Derek I Snedden POLS-Y 353 Professor Fowler 20 July 2015 Eagle Forum: The Pro-family movement The Eagle forum was founded by Phyllis Schlafly in 1972 and began as a trust fund to defend conservative agendas in 1967. During the proposal of the Equal Rights Amendment in 1972, Schlafly founded a group with more proactive approach called “Stop ERA” with one goal in mind, to defeat the ratification of ERA. After the success of the “Stop ERA” campaign, Phyllis Schlafly founded the eagle forum, a pro family group dedicated to “opposing all encroachments against American sovereignty through…feminist goals” (Schlafly). Althoug the primary interaction that eagle forum has had with the womens movement was the ERA, they also are incessantly combating
Using items such as “gauges, tongs, punches, needles, ladles, hammers, ink balls, knives, stamps, saws, awls, bits, rules, hooks, compasses, chisels, spoke shaves, lasts, blockheads, gouges, shuttles, planes, clamps, [and] squares” (Barbour, 2008, para. #1) carpenters of this time would fashion the Wainscot Chair. Some of these tools may be seen below in Image D. These craftsman formed new American centers for making furniture that began to establish very credible works (Ray-Degges, 2013). These colonists had to be self-supporting, and that meant they had to make, grow, or hunt for anything they would use in the construction of furniture making.
Following to the appearance to the Ritual Axe, the axe seems to be only made by wood and iron, but no jewelry were embedded. Although there was no jewelry or precious stones on the Ritual Axe, Owo was the most powerful kingdom in the eastern Yorubaland. Being a powerful kingdom has no effect on how the wealth or sources the artist could have. The artist of the artwork possibly chose to use a medium that was easily available to them, especially since any jewels, stones, or gold were limited to the area the Yoruba people were living in. The Yoruba people were not afraid to expand their territory to gain more opportunities for advance trade and to expand the areas for agriculture.

(Irving). The old tomahawk connects us to the past in the sense that was a weapon of war so that there must have been war or it could mean that life was very tough and tools were needed to do everyday tasks. Finally, in talking to Old Scratch, he states, “this woodland belonged to me long before one of your white-faced race put foot upon the soil. Old Scratch is saying that before there was any town, it was his. When the settlers came in they claimed it for themselves and showed that they are greedy.

The Mayans are indigenous people of Mexico and Central America who have continuously inhabited the lands in modern day Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Campeche, Tabasco, and Chiapas in Mexico and southward through Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador and Honduras. Within that expanse, the Maya lived in three separate sub-areas with distinct environmental and cultural differences: the northern Maya lowlands on the Yucatan Peninsula; the southern lowlands in the Peten district of northern Guatemala and adjacent portions of Mexico, Belize and western Honduras; and the southern Maya highlands, in the mountainous region of southern Guatemala. Resources vary for every location in the world, but the area that the Mayans are located in has many natural resources
Archeologists have found these tools next to an unfinished statue (Moai Easter Island). This is a clue because the Polynesians may have intended to finish the statue before leaving but, they may have forgotten or left it there because they have made a mistake. According to Khaled Azzam “Near them there were also chisels and axes made of obsidian.” (Moai Easter Island).

According to “Rethinking Neanderthals,” the typical tool kit of a Neanderthal contained a variation of large spears and knives. Neanderthals used animal bones to cut into meat and to hunt animals. Other tools were found to be useful for making clothing and other tools were used for woodworking. They also found a butchered reindeer bone and claimed it was used to cut meat. They also stated that these tools used for meat cutting were shaped in a hand shape D. Inside the cave, they found many hunting tools, these findings helped debunk the hypothesis that Neanderthals were non-intelligent.

The Legend of Takoda Sly Fox was always slipping away from his tribe. He was known for disappearing, often for hours at a time. The great chief and his father, NAME never knew where he was, but he knew his son was safe, although only 12. The boy was very skilled, he could make fire with just a few sticks, he could build himself a shelter, but he was known all through the tribe for his amazing bow-and-arrow skills. His father, of course, was the one to teach him all of this, for he had to know if he were to be chief one day.
