The Most Terrible Attack In History The Prime Minister of Britain, Tony Blair, in his speech, following September 11, 2001, clarifies the attack on September 11, 2001. Blair’s purpose is to have the nations join together. Blair’s speech was effective in persuading American citizens that nations must work together because Blair used ethos, pathos, and logos appeals. To begin, in paragraph twelve, Blair uses pathos to imply the sad emotion of sympathy. For example, the family members were sad that their loved ones were lost during the attack.
