Although, college athletes play sports I understand that school is important, and you have to have good grades to be able to participate in your extra curricular activity. College students get a high GPA and everything to be able to get into the school they want whereas student athletes don’t have to work as hard. While college sports play a valuable role on university
While these are all valid concerns, there are solutions for most, if not all, of them. Although middle and high school sports are fairly intense depending on the program, elementary school sports would be more about learning the rules and fundamentals of the activity the child participates in and the team building experience of the sport. Practices would be shorter with less intensive training and fewer meets or games. Admittedly, expense could be an issue in elementary sports because of the uncertainty of whether the child will commit to the sport or not. However, unwanted sports supplies could be resold to other children or donated to someone who needs them more, or perhaps a policy to borrow some equipment that would be returned to the school at the end of the respective sport season.
People can focus too much in sports instead of education and kids don’t understand why people yell or how to correctly interact with the commotion around them. The text “Are High School Sports Good for Kids?” stated “The general public, parents and society is placing more emphasis on winning than ever before which, at times, pressures athletic personnel to deviate from the athlete-centered educational and personal development mission.” This pressure that is mentioned can really deplete a child’s moral and mentality. However, there is still
It could be argued that athletes of all ages should be required to sit out longer. Although, this is definitely a safe option, athletes out of high school are less likely to experience brain damage after getting a concussion. When high school athletes are allowed to play again based solely on symptoms (or lack of), they are more susceptible to further injuries, therefore, it is safer to require them to sit out for a longer period of
An issue that could arise is a major adjustment in my study habits. Currently, my study habits may not be disciplined enough to achieve the grades I desire on a college level. Although this awakening might be harsh, it would force me to develop proper habits, preparing me for college two years in advance. Although the preparation that the Ohio State Academy would grant me is a strong reason to attend, the primary reason for my application is its intrinsic value. Although my high school offers a solid catalog of AP or CCP courses, the classes offered do not allow me to further my education in my fields of interest.
Simply put, football teaches valuable lessons for life. Although, there are valid safety concerns, these should not keep kids from learning these instructions. Many activities have some sort of harm associated with it, but people will still participate in them anyway because of something that they gain from it. Football has much to offer young boys who will be entering the workforce in the years to come. If the average man possessed character, understood comradery, and exercised commitment; the world would be a better place.
Should Energy drinks be eliminated in high school sports? Energy drinks should not be eliminated because they help your athletic performance in sports. "The topic is controversial because so many people think energy drinks are bad for you but they are really good for you in so many ways they improve your athletic ability and help you stay up in class or at night so you can study to keep up. They improve your athletic performance and make you stay awake and in focus for longer than usual" (Knighton).Although people think energy drinks are bad for you however, they improve your athletic performance. Energy drinks can help you get a better grade in school.
Save the game for kids who, having learned important life lessons through their only available avenue, i.e. sports, go on to worthwhile citizenry, and make rules that protect them. Begin with performance enhancing drugs control. Lance Armstrong said he would not have been accepted if he had declined to use drugs. If the top (pro sports) demands usage, the news will flow to the
A lot of kids want to grow up go to college and become a professional athlete. Some kids want to become athletes like Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and athletes that left their first year of college to go be in professional sports. They want to leave school early for sports, but they don’t know that they would be missing out on getting a degree and graduating from college. I think that from now on athletes should think about staying all 4 years in college. There are many benefits to staying all 4 years in college.
I feel that if it's a normal routine for the young kids and It has no effect on them they should continue to do what they do. Young athletes work very hard because It's something they really want to do but their bodies are not physically there yet. The solution was for them to go to study hall and my other solution was to have light training and the advantages would increase their knowledge for the game and also keep their bodies healthy through the years. the disadvantages are it would cause wear and tear on their young bodies and the development of the player would take longer. All in all the time an athlete trains during the week should be cut down because of how young we are and the coaches and trains should find more effective ways to train us young
