Successful leaders of Contingency approach should effectively apply their unique and different styles of leadership to lead the organization to overcome various organizational circumstances.
Total quality management
Total quality management (TQM) is a business management strategy aimed to increase the awareness of quality of process and products in an organization by building a organizational-wide climate and norm for continuously quality improvement to deliver high quality products and services to customers. While there is no unification of TQM approach, many perspectives to view TQM were published in the world. Generally, the six basic concepts of TQM was agreed namely:

Result and Conclusion
Without Contingency perspective, TQM is only technical approach to control quality of process and product but ignore the "human side of TQM" and business environment. Therefore, Contingency perspective contribute that TQM is likely to be more effective to assist the management of corporations to lead the organizations with their own unique style, strategy and plans for corporate development and survival in the business world.

Contingency theories put forth the idea that the success of a leader hinges on the specific situation at hand. A situation can be proven effective based on the leader or the leadership style attached. The factors that would determine this would include the task, the personality of the leader and the composition of the group that is meant to be led. Its basic assumption is that leadership-success or failure – is situational. There are a number of sub-theories that fall under the general contingency umbrella.

Transactional Leadership Frequently referred to as a managerial approach to leadership, the transactional leadership style is centered on improving efficiencies within an organization or team (McShane & Von Glinow, 2015). Leaders practicing the transactional approach focus on the details of the step by step processes and workflows using a reward and punishment system to encourage workgroup production (Dartey-Baah, 2015). As errors and inconsistent results are part of the expected norm, transactional leaders succumb to the belief that employees require ongoing monitoring and supervision to ensure compliance with the expected work practices. When used with an experienced high performing staff, the constant supervision and punitive nature of the transactional leadership style can be counterproductive, causing a decrease in production and satisfaction among some groups. In contrast, when used with newly formed production units, the transactional style has been known to improve employee engagement and response (Breevaart et al., 2014).

In my own words, total quality management approach is the ceaseless procedure of lessening or disposing of blunders in assembling, streamlining store network administration, enhancing the client encounter and guaranteeing that workers are dependent upon pace with their preparation. Total quality management aims to hold all parties in the production process as responsible for the general nature of the overall quality of the final product or service.
