Touche, the Incredible Novel for Teenagers
Mochammad Asrori, one of Indonesian writer says “ Author of TeenLit Indonesia so far is more often to write the story that is cliche, the story of love is always same, and the conflict and climax that are not improved.” That is right, in Indonesia, there are many kind of teen novel and most of them are about love stories which arranged in a groove that is easy to guess. It is rare to find the fantasy, mystery and the love story together in an Indonesian teen novel nowadays. However, one of Indonesian teen novel by Windhy Puspitasari, Touche, proves that fantasy, mystery and love story can be more interesting to read when they come together in a novel. Touche, is a must-read-novel for teenagers because it is making the fantasy looks real, putting the mystery part as unpredictable problem, and telling the love story in romantic ways but not dominate the storyline because it is not the main theme.

The author makes it seems as if Fortunato is a bad guy especially because he’s trying to kill him to find out later Montressor was crazy.
It was a good love story, and Lale, the main character, captured my attention and emotional support right away, which made me always want to continue reading, to see what he does next, and if the story will end with a happy ending. I think Lale’s character, and the way he carried himself, really intrigued me. His kind and confident personality really resonated with me. I admire his willingness to give, and put others first.
