1.1. Introduction With increased arrival of tourists to India travel and Tourism has become an integral part of India. Tourism Industry is a multibillion industry in India and the liveliest tertiary activity. Driven by the focus on innovation and creating value for tourists, India has emerged as a popular tourist destination in the world. It succeeded in changing the attitude and the way we look at the foreign tourists by emphasizing on the aspect that a guest has been held in high respect in India since ancient times. Tourism in India has grown over the years with each region of India contributing something to its glory. India is ranked 11th in the Asia Pacific Region and 62nd overall as the world’s most attractive tourist destinations by the Travel and Tourism competitiveness Report conducted by the World Economic Forum. The Tourism ministry of the Government has also played significant role in the development of the industry by introducing campaigns such as the 'Incredible India ' campaign, which stimulated India 's culture and tourist attractions in a different and impressive way. The campaign directly led to an increase in the interest among the tourists as it helped to create a vibrant image of India in the minds of consumers all over the world .
