Over the past few decades, tourism has experienced the sustained growth and deepening ‎diversification to become one of the fastest growing economic sectors over the world. Nowadays, the business volume of tourism can be said to be equals to or even surpasses the business volume of food products, automobiles or oil exports. Tourism plays an important role in almost every country due to it has a greater impact on the development of country economy. The main benefits of tourism are creating extra money for national income and creating more career opportunities for locals. The expenditures spent by the tourists, the import and export of the related goods generate income to the national economy and can further stimulate the investment necessary to finance growth in other economic sectors of country. Some of the countries such as Bhutan seek to accelerate the finance growth by requiring the visitors to pay certain amount of foreign currency per day of their stay and it is not refundable. For some of the regions or countries, tourism is an important source of their welfare as it is the main source. If the country is a remote island, the way to build up the country economy is mainly dependent on their tourism industrial. According to the World Travel & Tourism Council on year 2012, the country that ranked first in the top tourism-dependent countries is Macau, which is an island on the western side of Pearl River Delta, China. In Macau, the direct contribution of Travel and Tourism to the total GDP (gross domestic product) is 46.7%. These famous tourist attractions comprises of Petronas Twin Towers, Colmar Tropicale in Bukit Tinggi Pahang, Cameron Highlands, Genting Highlands, Batu Caves, Mount Kinabalu and etc. In the assignment, our group are required to choose one attraction in Malaysia either natural attraction or man-made attraction and visit it. The attraction that our group choose for our group project is Dataran Merdeka, which is one of the most important historical landmarks in the history of Malaysia. Dataran Merdeka is also known as Merdeka Square, which it is located at the heart of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. To be specific, Dataran Merdeka is exactly located in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. In addition, it was formerly known as the Selangor Club Padang or simply the "Padang" and was used as the cricket green of the Selangor Club (now Royal Selangor Club). The field at the Merdeka Square's immediate vicinity was officially renamed 'Dataran Merdeka' on 1 January 1990 in conjunction of Visit Malaysia Year
