RESORT INDUDTRY There are many part in the hospitality industry and resort is the one part of it, since century 18 A.D. it was built around ancient roman empire, the facilities of it were used for health and social purposes as a public baths, In Europe the earliest resort was developed in Belgium as spa resort provide rich in iron mineral water. That lead to the popularity of all type of resort normally has spa service. Type of resort can be categorizing by the location for example, seaside resorts are located along the sea cost. seaside resorts became popular in the late 1800s some seaside resorts own private beach and provide some facilities like sunbathing areas or having a pool villa, this type of resorts has visitors throughout the year, Ski resorts, these are located in villages nearby skiing areas, provide skiing equipment for rent, hill resorts, adventure sports like parachuting are provided. These resorts are away from urban area. There are many service provided in resort, the most popular trends are health spa and fitness, its became popular because of the medical benefits. There are many kind of task in resort so, it often has a different types of management within a resort, including employee who prepare food and beverage or chef, maintenance and activities departments and others. In a large resort, a general manager may be overseeing various other managers, like those who work in the front office, in food and beverage department, cleaning staff etc. In a small resort, the general manager may be required to oversee all part of a facility 's departments. Resort managers must have a specialization in hospitality experience. With many department, resort needs to organize everything to make the organization get better like divided tasks, specified the job for each department, and set authority within departments. It was basically segmented into five part, First, The front office department This part handles customer service. A front office is where guests are first greeted a friendly welcome officer when they arrive, registered and check out. second, The human resources department.
