Another cultural heritage of Czech is the National Theater,it is built with funds from nationwide collection in other words private funds, However, one day before its grand opening , the national theater was gutted by fire and therefore, delaying the official opening until the funds are enough again. Just seeing it whet my appetite for the museum itself. The Museum 's Wyeth
Yekaterinburg – traditional churches and Soviet avant-garde The city combines two delights in one – ideal for those who want to see traditional Orthodox churches whilst exploring the architectural style of the builders of the “new world” who tried to destroy these very churches. Yekaterinburg also has the biggest collection of monuments of Soviet constructivism, standing side by side with traditional museums (the Museums of Local Lore and Art History).
Are you visiting Rome? The city has many attractions. Vatican city, Colosseum, Stadio Olimpico, crusty thin pizza and many others. My personal favorite, and maybe the biggest attraction of them all is the Pantheon.
It is called the Museum of Civilization, and it is located inside an airport outside Severn City. His museum later became famous in the world after the collapse. Some characters think that it is just a rumor but the museum exists in real life. “‘I thought the Museum of Civilization was a rumor,’ August said” (124). The museum was mentioned several times by different characters and people in year fifteen would go there to look at the past after their long days of work.
In The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Maya Lin employs rhetorical devices in order to elucidate, the gross cost of the Vietnam Conflict in U.S. lives. The minimalist design used in the Vietnam Veterans Memorial emphasizes the overwhelming amount of human lives lost. On the Wall, a small diamond is depicted next to the names of people confirmed dead, if a person is MIA(Missing in Action) they get a small cross next to their name. The cross can easily be carved into a diamond if the person is confirmed dead ,or turned into a circle, a symbol of life, if they are found alive.
In Ronald Reagan’s Remarks at the Brandenburg Gate on June 12, 1987, he discussed the Berlin Wall and how it is a universal symbol (Kostka, 2009, p. 90). When President Reagan gave this remark, it was the 750th anniversary of the founding of Berlin (Kostka, 2009, p. 90). As President Reagan spoke to those in Berlin, he stated, “Every man is a Berliner, forced to look upon a scar” (American Rhetoric). President Reagan’s use of the metaphor ‘Every man is Berliner’ allowed him to explain how and why the Berlin Wall is a universal symbol that brings so many different countries together (American Rhetoric). President Reagan appealed to those he was speaking to first so that they knew he was with them.
Animals in captivity at zoos constantly struggle with problems including stress, boredom, and confinement (Lin). This piece of evidence explains that small habitats in zoos conclude to many health problems. The last way that zoos make
This proves to be significant because although some say zoos are educational they prove of no worth to the amount of information we as humans obtain. Also when children see how these animals were taken out of their natural habitats and put in synthetic homes it can damage the kids. For instance, there have been cases of bacterial infections that could possibly put the children and adult sin danger. On example of this is e. coli bacteria which can be found in some reptiles areas in the zoo. If people make contact with these animals they can catch this sickness which can lead to potential death.
This exposure and education motivate people to protect the animals and provide entertainment. Zoos save endangered species by bringing them into a safe environment, where they are protected from poachers, habitat loss, starvation, and predators. “The Arabian Oryx was hunted to extinction in the wild. However, from just a handful of animals in captivity the species was brought back from the brink thanks the conservation efforts of Phoenix Zoo and others.
For the rest of the places, animals need to be returned to or left in their natural habitats. Zoos are often viewed as fun and entertaining due to the different kinds of animals. They are always showing off, looking happy and healthy. What one may not notice is what happens behind the scenes, or maybe in plain sight.
Animals exhibits are places of wonder and study for scientists and everyday people, without them, most people would never have to opportunity to see even a quarter of the life that populates their globe. Many zoos in the United States are held to high standards of
Zoos educate the public about animals and the problems they face in the wild. " The fastest and most direct way for people to save and care about an endangered species is to connect with them," says Rob Vernon, the AZA's communications coordinator (Mendoza). Zoos are also convenient for people to see wild animals as not everyone has the opportunity to go to Africa and see them in person (Mendoza). Many believe that engaging with animals in person can be more inspiring and educational than a picture on a television screen. Only the smallest impact can make a huge impression.
To sum up, both articles provide evidence that zoos are improving over the years to serve their purpose more effectively. Constant development helps them to save more animals and at the same time show the results to the public which is crucial for inspiring people's participation in conservation programs. So, the two articles on the necessity of zoos are mostly similar as they express the same ideas. Both Cohn and Borrell provide arguments for the significance of zoos which contribute to animal conservation by conducting research, protecting endangered species, encouraging people to participate in conservation programs and forming their connection with the natural
Zoos may be very necessary for endangered species. But, there are different ways how to save and continue endangered species, and every zoo have had choice how they do it. Some zoos are breeding endangered species trying to continue the species, but that is not right, because it leads to very complicated health issues. For example white tiger who are very rare animal, breeding requirements are that all white tigers parents must be white tigers too, to get only white tiger, and so are zoos breeding white tigers fathers with their daughters and mothers with their sons. But some zoos again are preserving and studying endangered species in captivity to save endangered species in the wild.
Zoos have been around since the eighteenth century. A zoo is defined as a compound where wild animals are kept for viewing and studying. The purpose of a zoo is mainly for education and protection, preserving animal species that are either at a risk of becoming extinct or for increased collection size (Jamieson). Animals from around the world have been enclosed in an area where we can admire and study these fine creatures. However, many modern zoos around the world have introduced animal shows, petting and feeding sessions to attract more visitors in order to earn more money.
