Toyo Tires is one of the best tires manufactures in the world. This company has stood for innovation, quality, performance, and excellent service for 65 years, including nearly 45 years in the United States. Combined, the Toyo group of companies has development, manufacturing, testing, distribution, and marketing operations throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania. As a result, Toyo Tires has built a solid reputation around the world. Toyo Tires Malaysia mainly produces four types of tires which are passenger car, MPV, SUV & 4x4 tires and competition tires.

The vision to manufacture great tires began in August 1945, when the founding president, Mr. Rikimatsu Tomihisa, established the Toyo Tire & Rubber Co, Ltd. in Japan. Even those who practice it do not do so fully and willingly. They invest very little money in it just so they can comply with government requirements. However, there are environmental factors that may compel organizations to embark on CSR activities if they are to survive the cut throat competition that is synonymous with the global business environment today.

Further, a number of organizations have not yet paid attention to the factors that influence CSR hence most have ended up experiencing risk of business disruption at high rates. This paper therefore seeks to establish what these factors are and how they impact on an organization’s, in this case, Toyo Tyre Malaysia Sdn Bhd, implementation of CSR. It contributes knowledge to the field of CSR.
