Accident statistics show a relatively low level of traffic safety in Jordan compared to developed countries producing large socio-economic losses. but the high level of injury was slight injury with percentage reached to 83% of total injury , followed by serious and fatal injury most casualties (45.38%) were between 18 and 35 years old and females were involved in about 27% of total casualties. This may be attributed to the fact that this age group and males tend to use the road more frequently and are less careful road users. A vehicle crash kept Route 30 between Buchanan Valley Road and Pine Ridge Lane closed for several hours as police investigated a crash in western Adams County. Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Joshua Yoder said a Nissan Versa was turning left into the Village of Laurel Run when it collided with a Hyundai Sante Fe shortly before 7 a.m. The road reopened shortly before 1 p.m. Both female drivers were taken to York Hospital for treatment of injuries. A man who stopped to help the woman in the Versa and was struck by a Toyota Yaris, police said, and he was also taken to York Hospital. Police did not know the extent of the injuries.

Today in society there a lot of elders on the roads. For my bill I would like to mandate the restest of drivers over the age of 70. They will be required to take the road and written test so they can renew their licences over the age of 70. I wrote this bill because there are a lot of elders in society today where they have illnesses that can cause them to forget things. The goal of my legislation is to mandate the restest of drivers over the age of 70 so they are safe on our roads.
