 It helps to enhance self confidence among employees
 A trained employee can perform their job better than others
 Training helps to handle stress, tension and conflicts
 It helps to make better decisions and solve problems effectively
 Training helps employees to acquire updated technologies which are helpful to perform duties.

 Helps to increase in efficiency and productivity
 Less learning cost and period
 Less supervision and higher employee morale
 Reduction in employee grievances and accidents and breakdowns
 Reduction in labour turnover absenteeism
 Helps to have better organizational climate

To avoid such situations, off- the job training is used. An advantage of off –the –job training is that employee is free from distractions of his job requirements and would be able to concentrate better on learning the job rather than just performing it. The various techniques of off-the job- training are classroom lectures, simulation exercises, etc.
• Classroom lecturers
This approach is widely used for helping the employees understand the rules, procedures and policies of the organization. A two –way communication makes a session lively and interesting .Giving and taking feedback helps the trainer improve his own performance and that of the trainees too.
• Simulation exercises
In this method of training, the trainee is exposed to an artificial work situation that closely resembles the actual work situation.
