First of all, I would like to talk about the differences between liner and tramp agent. Tramp agent will attend to owner’s or charter’s matter, arrange for stevedores and cargo work equipment. More importantly, as a tramp agent, has to prepare port clearance documentations, import/export documentations, arrange for on-dock and off-dock services and arrange for surveyors etc. I think it will make it easier to understand with the reference of problem-based assignment regarding on Chem Asia.
Compare to liner agent, for the documentation part, the agent will focus more on the Bill of Lading, Manifest and port/freight charges. Liner agent will complete paperwork, identifying the ownership of the goods, recording them precisely in order to make

Agent will inform the Port Marine Safety prior arrival thus arrange tugboats to tow Chem Asia. Discharging rate will be discussed between master and terminal after complete a ship-shore checklist. Through solving out the two problem-based scenarios this semester, I have learned to think of questions in different angles to find out which one is the most efficiency and cost-effective solution , and always list out in mind that what are the things I required to do as an agent , always have a backup plan if anything happens unexpectedly. Furthermore, I understood an operational checklist is important because it remind me who are the people that I am supposed to inform and the group of people need to be engaged in the whole

Slavery took place in almost every country around the world; each country participated in slavery in one way, shape, or form. When the American Colonies began to from by English settlers, the idea of indentured servitude was brought over with them. Elite families depended on indentured servants to serve until their debt was paid, but as more settlers came, less people choose to come over and serve as indentured servants. As indentured servitude began to become less accepted, slavery was becoming more reliable through the slave trade. Slavery was introduced in Jamestown, Virginia in 1690 to help with the production of tobacco.

The training would include a walk-through of an evacuation with a review of responsibilities at the offsite relocation site. This has never been performed with the staff and it seems unreasonable to believe that the plan could be implemented effectively if not practiced. Also, the safety plan would be updated to reflect an emergency communication plan. Communication in the time of crisis is essential and the tools exist to have an effective way to send messages to all staff during emergencies. The software application Remind would be used.

There are two categories; 1 is about doing risk assessments and figuring out what to do when an emergency occurs. 2 is about organization of things such as transport, this group is less likely to be involved in main planning of work but will be involved in incidents/emergencies that affect sectors. One of the most common action that businesses as well as individuals needs to face on a daily basis is a decision making process. Some of the choices can be difficult, other very simple , yet no matter on the situation these choices can have a large impact on our future life. As we are all aware, conflict can occur very fast and easily, so for the same reason it is important to learn how to effectively deal with these kind of problems. There are many different techniques which we can use while reducing the tension , yet the six step model process is known as the most effective.
It is a systematic method that utilizes knowledge, measures, and environmental analysis to produce the most ideal solution. Each decision is analyzed based on its possible consequences with an emphasis on short and long-term solutions. These processes require ample amounts of information, time, and people. While quality solutions are produced, the willful choice model does not allow for flexibility regarding environmental changes such as technology and healthcare policy. Internal changes including turnover also negatively impact the rational decision process.
An efficiency of the transport that will improve the liberalization of the economy, the prospects for further growth of the industry remain strong. Seaport is plays a major role within the integrated of transport chains. The place of port is an interchange between land and sea which to transferring cargos and accepting ships. They are usually located in the ocean, sea, river, lake edge. The ports usually have a cargo handling facility such as cranes and forklifts for use in loading or discharge of vessels which may be provided by private interests.
WORKPLACE DECISION MAKING- MY REFLECTION 'S Dealing with ambiguity comes naturally to us humans, and it starts with learning our first language as an infant. The effective decision making is an iterative learning process acquired by relying on experiences from our own past reflexes and also learning from those of others. The past couple of years presented an interesting mix of challenges in my workplace, including complex projects with tight deadlines, budget cuts and building out teams at short notice later. One such project involved automation of calculations for economic risk capital, which is a loss buffer maintained by banks.
