Most of America's horses are shipped overseas to countries such as Canada and Mexico for slaughter, However, the slaughter process starts way before the horses arrive to the slaughterhouse. These slaughterhouses will slaughter any horse, from foals to old horses to ponies and donkeys and even pregnant mares, if they are shipped to slaughter they are slaughtered. Some horse owners will outright sell their horses to killer buyers, but most people will take their horse to a local auction where killer buyers bid against other buyers and try to get horses for the lowest price. A killer buyer is a person who travels from auction to auction buying horses at the lowest price specifically for slaughter, then when the unsafe oversized overcrowded trailers
AZUCUS Ranch is a ranch in Vicksburg, MS where I ride horses. I have been riding there for many years, ever since I could walk. There are other riders there that have been there as long as I have. There are also some riders that have just started riding there. When the riders get done riding, it is their duty to take care of their horse, meaning they have to untack their horse, wash them off, put them in either a pasture or a stall, then depending on where they put them, they must feed them.
I personally have a horse who was neglected by his previous owner. These people are trying to make a difference for these animals by giving them a second chance, they will need all the help that they can get. Volunteering at this facility would allow the horses to grow more social skill, but would also reduce the cost of the spending
The beautiful, breathtaking, and scenic state of Kentucky is also known as “The Horse Capital” of the United States. Race horses are how the state was able to become the horse capital and why the state values the animals so heavily. Kentucky offers exclusive tours, as well as information about the animals and a closer look at how the owners became wealthy off of them. Furthermore, the tours explain the rules and regulations of breeding Thoroughbreds, as well as the process and procedures used to perform the breeding. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS After all the time and effort, we have figured out that Chegg needs to put themselves out there if they really want to grab potential customers. Chegg needs to become better at advertising and targeting more college students because there are many college students who do not know that Chegg even exists. We also found out that Chegg needs to receive better reviews and advertise more. When it comes to how Chegg does business, we hope that Chegg will consider altering their ways to reach their goal in attracting customers.
Many people in Amarillo take pride in their cowboy “heritage”. Horses played a very important role in cowboy culture, so since 2002 more than 110 horse statues have been placed all over
Chapter five titled “Mercury” of The Poisoner’s Handbook by Deborah Blum gives a fascinating story, about a woman named Gertie Gorman who was married to a man named Charles Webb. Many believed that her husband poisoned her because in her will “[she would leave] everything to her husband” (112) giving him a good motive for that action, but as the investigators opened up the body they found the presence of mercury bichloride, which was a “messy killer” (114) meaning it was hard to miss because of all the bloody inflammations. As the investigators looked more into the case they found out that Webb was not the person responsible for his wife’s death, however Webb was still prosecuted. Mercury can be poisonous if taken in extreme quantities causing the same things it did to Gertie’s body.
In chapter 6 titled “Carbon Monoxide (CO), Part 1” of The Poisoner’s Handbook by Deborah Blum the most interesting story developed within the chapter was the death of Anna Fredericksen after inhaling carbon monoxide. It was interesting because the way the murder was convicted, it created the impression as if Francesco Trivia had cut her into pieces, making him look like a lunatic killer. As Gettler noted in his inquiry, “In each glass vessel, each ceramic dish, the bloody solutions, instead of turning the darkish grays of normal oxygenated blood, flamed that brilliant red. Her blood was saturated with carboxyhemoglobin.” (Blum 148).
The Ve’lodrome d’Hiver Roundup refers to the period of time when French police (Nazi directed) rounded up 11,000 people with a Jewish background, and put them in a winter, and bike stadium , called Ve’lodrome d’Hiv. Within one week the number of Jewish people stored there went from 11,000 to 13,000, 4,000 of them being children. The people being held were left extremely crowded, with almost no food, water, or sanitary rooms. The Jews were actually warned months before the arrests, but since most arrests usually targeted Jewish men, the women and children did not go into hiding. Children between the ages of 2 and 16 were arrested with their mothers.

So, instead of wasting the money the horse has earned the cheapest way is to send them off to wherever they want. Which, is not a nice home, it is a death home. Living as an animal in the racing industry is difficult exhausting. From endless suffering and injuries, being injected and digesting illegal pills, and if you fail you are thrown out of the industry and killed for multiple usages. The life of a racehorse is not sunshine and rainbows.
