It all seemed great, but was I ready or would I ever be ready to see people in their worst days? It took me a whole year in college to realize that firefighting was something I did not want to pursue. Desperately looking for a new major, I started to consider teaching, but purely for selfish reasons. However, somewhere during my second year of college, there was a significant spark that led me to want to pursue teaching for a different reason. In high school, sports were everything, maintaining a good GPA was crucial.
Last year when I was in 8th grade I joined the track and field team. My main event that I did was the 100 meter dash I got an amazing time of 13.7 seconds, apparently I ended up qualifying for states in that race. I also made a solar system poster that took a lot of work but I got an A+,on it. The project was an extra credit project. When I was in 6th grade there was a Christmas competition where I had to dress up as a certain Christmas character.
I do not know much about my surname Yost, since my father only knows our family lineage up to my great grandfather. Art, basketball, and soccer are three things I love to do. In fourth grade my teacher Mrs. Raben gave her students the project of drawing the “Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh. finishing mine in about two weeks I was way behind everyone, but it was worth the effort, because it turned out to be a masterpiece. I first started doing art at Miriah Arts in kindergarten, where we shaped clay, performed in plays, painted, and doodled.
I asked him several questions about what it’s like to be a structural welder and how their job can contribute to the world. When asked “why did you decide to go into welding as a career?” Babek responded with “Well my interest in welding started in high school when I began to worry about what I was going to do when I got out into the world on my own and I remember hearing all kinds of things about the career opportunities welding presented so I asked my school counselor about the subject.” I found myself rather interested in his story as it went on. He continued with “See she told me welding was a very profitable venture to pursue as an early start out of highschool and further if you enjoy it. I got to thinking about trying this for myself so I signed up for classes and found myself enjoying welding quite a bit and that I was good at it too. Soon I had my certifications in about 9 months.” I was very impressed at the fact that you could get certified in such a short time.
According to the Web site collegeresults.org, only 23.6 % of the students attending Old Dominion University are graduating in four years. This rate of graduation is demoralizing because I have a plan to succeed and graduate from ODU. From these results, I understand that I have to work hard and take my studies very seriously in each subject of every semester. Because a college education offers many benefits, I will be a successful student by obtaining expert advice, by developing effective strategies, and by overcoming my challenges. Psychology Professor Robert S. Feldman explains the benefits of a college education in my ENF textbook (29-31).

ECS 100 Out-of-Class Participation Reflection Paper This is my last and only paper of my ECS 100 course, and I would talk about the two activities that I participated out-of- class during this semester. Now I feel that I have made the right choice in choosing to take these two activities, because I have learned much which I could not study in the classroom. The first one I participated is the Westcott Street Cultural Fair. I have a couple reasons that why I choose this activity. First, I would be a volunteer and I am willing to be a helpful member during the event.
Dr. Lee Hello I am Arturo Haces- Garcia I am an 11th grade student at Santa Gertrudis Academy High School, in Kingsville, Texas, and I am interested in developing a project for my local science fair, this project involves using electromyography signals to control servos. The project in question is a Prosthetic forearm, which will move by connecting small muscle electrodes to certain muscles in the face, where certain actions, like blinking, smirking, and frowning will make the arm do a certain moves. There is no formal school to send children too, instead young Sewertarian children take on apprenticeships at the age of 8. These apprenticeships include working with master hunters, gatherers, and medics. The apprenticeship lasts for 6 years, except for the medic which takes 10-20 years to finish. This is one of the reasons why medics are usually older and fairly rare. The young Sewertarians also have the option of jumping into the workforce as a laborer at the age of 12.
This meant that school was starting and tryouts were soon. When tryouts came around, I found out that only one player from the previous year had graduated; therefore, only one spot was available. I also found out that the tryouts would be two days, playing nine holes each day at the course I had been practicing at all summer. Then I realized, with only one spot available, either I would make the team I had been working so hard to make, or Cooper would make the team. The first day of tryouts started and I was paired up with Cooper and a freshman, all competing for one spot.
