The article shows how it is human nature to identify with tragic events, usually through the media and gain closure. For example, the author mentioned how the horrified nation watched through the media as the twin towers collapsed. People watching the twin towers collapse through tv wanted to identify with the event a much as they could. Another example from the article, “World Trade Center and Pentagon attacked on Sept. 11, 2001”, is when president Bush promised to find the ones responsible.
