The movement reunited stronger than ever because after the Civil War they had support to allow them to fight for their rights with more ease. Women’s role in society changed because during the Civil War women took advantage that without the presence of men they would have to take their roles. When men returned from war it was very difficult to get the women out of what had been established in their
Of course, without a complete, dedicated, and unified effort the result might have been different. Although the Frontline Soldiers will continue to earn all the credit, victory would have been impossible without the assistance and lethal expertise of the U.S. Army Antiaircraft Artillery. Poor organization and underrepresentation has kept these AAA troops in the dark corners of history for too long. Antiaircraft Artillery units will continue to earn small mentions of merit on the battlefield, but usually as a footnote in an Infantry Division documentary.
Joint warfare has been seemed as the way to go in military fighting techniques due to the many possibilities it offers. Supporters of joint warfare ascertain that the collective power that joint warfare affords leads to a more effective military effort than an independent series of missions. Joint warfare encompasses the abilities of different sections of the mili tary to produce a comprehensive mode of attack that capitalizes on collective eff ort and power from different modes of attack from the different sections o f the joint campaign. It is arguable that a joint campaign will reduce the numbe r of casualties and resources committed to carrying out offensives.
Shaibani Khan and the uzbek fighters were better, horrible and more in number than Babur and his men. However, he could not get the most out of Shaibani Khan and his men who was killed by the persian forces ultimately. Raiders from the north has a either a battle or a fight every few pages and even shows the human nature as something more generous and
He believes that the revolution will not be easy, but that it will be worth it in the end. Paine describes this when saying, “the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.” (98). Paine says that men will be tested and some may not finish the battle. He also persuades the soldiers to fight in the battle by telling them
In their first fight, Palamon had just escaped and Arcite had achieved a stable position in Emily’s household. Arcite was in better health and more fit than Palamon thus giving him an advantage. Arcite could have killed him but instead swore to Palamon that “I shall not fail to be found here, on my faith as a knight, and to bring quite enough armor for you.” (Chaucer 753) They both returned and helped each other into their armor, this is important because they both had the opportunity to sabotage the other but they choose not to.
American forces might have been fewer, but they sure were stronger. Not so much as stronger than smarter in battle. They held their ground and didn’t back away when Pakenham came in with more soldiers than they had. Americans were strong-headed and that was a good thing for them in the end.
This advantage allowed the colonists to have lesser casualties as opposed to their enemies. Since America had a large territory, the remaining troops would have to wait months at a time for other troops to arrive at the port. Colonists then would use that time to attack the remaining English troops.
Although the North and South had many advantages over one another, they each had as many disadvantages. The North had to conquer a large amount of land in order to win the Civil War. They were also invading unfamiliar land. The North may of had a strong Navy, but overall their soldiers were not properly skilled compared to the South. The South did have the advantage of good officers to train the soldiers, but they had very few people for the job.
Of course, since it was a movie, everything occurred more rapidly, for instance, the soldiers got uniforms earlier than when they actually got them. I found that the movie did in fact portray the volunteers well, as during the Civil war, kids in their teens were picked as well as older men, and the movie captured those details. The lack of respect that these black soldiers got saddens me, as without them, the war wouldn’t have ended easily. Without the black soldiers the army would have been way smaller. I don’t understand the logic behind treating the innocent people so poorly, who do the same thing as the white men, if not better than the white men.
The southerners had an advantage of the land mass they owned, so it was easier for them because there people knew the land and this made it harder for the people who didn 't. While the swamps and forest were known by the people of the south but in the west the great river were used as the union 's supply routes. The geographic features of the land were both advantages and extremely unhelpful to both sides. The north had more industry and was far wealthier giving it a huge advantage to the north. On top of that the north had two million men fighting against the the south 's with just 900,000. As quoted from www.markedbyteachers.com/as.../why-did-the-south-lose-the-american-civil-war.html “ Troop levels, army supply and the finance of the war all played a major role in which side was to win the war.”.
but i was completely wrong about that. We have fought 2 battles “The Battle Of Fort Sumter” and “The First Bull Run” and have loss. Not only have we lost in victory, we have lost more than 30,000 of our
For much of the election, Lincoln believed he had little chance of being re-elected. Because of the increase in war casualties, the idea “peace at all cost” offered by a democratic group known as the “Copperheads”, started to look more and more desirable. It was because of this that McClellan was a favorite to win the election. Internal strains and other issues within the democratic party eventually made Lincoln’s re-election inevitable. In the end Lincoln won 55% of the popular vote and 90% of the electoral vote, easily beating out McClellan.
Soldiers coming home are the biggest issue. Most soldiers return with devastating wounds, PTSD, unemployment, or their homeless. However, protecting the greater good means you 're willing to give up
1. • Were the Colonists fighting for: It is important to establish that the colonists were a constituency of varied parties maintaining different interests. The colonial elite created a reconciliation and sustained a basic consensus regarding the general aims and concerns of the colonists. However, when met with friction, the elite’s alliance proved to be rather volatile; consequently, radical colonists emerged with much potency. For this reason it is unclear if there was a distinguished common goal amongst all of the groups within the colonies. I. Liberty – The initial revolt against the crown developed with the emersion of new British taxes on commerce.
