Another extensive study to deal with parking issue is done at American University of Beirut to deal with Traffic Congestion and Reducing Parking Demand. This study explores the ways of reducing the parking problem in the university campus. They examine five American campuses to learn: What are the impacts of increasing campus parking supply? How can transit be promoted without an organized public transit sector? And, how can we incentivize a high-income campus population to use campus transit services? They propose a new mobility solution at AUB, dynamic taxi-sharing, and present preliminary mode shift survey data indicating a potential market and positive reductions in vehicle trips. The theme in the film Ferris Beuller’s day off is “life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once and awhile you could miss it” - Ferris Bueller. People easily get caught up in today’s society and don’t stop to appreciate the little things in life or they are always worried about what will happen if they don’t follow the rules or take a risk. Ferris Bueller was simply stopping to smell the roses. One image characteristic used in the film Ferris Bueller’s day off is the “looking into an event” technique. This technique is a visualization approach that comes as close as possible to the point of view of an observer of the actual event.
The reality of stereotype coming from Americans, in the perspectives of the two authors, becomes more and more popular in society in general, and in America in particular. By describing the community’s thoughts, recounting their own experience, and offering solutions to the discrimination, Staples and Cofer agree with each other on how cognitive abilities among the nation should be changed. While people all use stereotypes, all the time, without noticing it, so many people feel incompatible to live in a discriminative culture. Therefore, “Black Men And The Public Space” and “The Myth of Latina Women” are written in order to fight against the belief of categorizing a certain group of people, and to encourage individuals from ethnic groups to
It Never Stops Driving along the road, you hear a screeching siren and see blinding lights flashing in your rearview mirror. Instantly feeling your stomach drop as the officer waves you to pull over. The officer greets you with a firm “Hello, may I see your driver’s license and registration?”. While handing it to the officer, I notice that he brings his search dog to sniff the vehicle for drugs. The dog begins to scratch at the door alerting the officer that there is something inside.
In the past, people did not have too much cars and they lived by farming so there were no parking areas at that time but there were a lot of farmlands. And school was not such professional so there was no sports field in 1950s. A lot of students lived in school because of the traffic so there would have some houses. If you always wanted to take the subway and not drive and pay for the garage all the time you would save a plethora of money. The subway is a very crazy idea and most likely will never work. Yet, it would limit how many people are worry about parking. College students would love this since they do not have to worry about all the traffic, finding a parking space, and gas money. College students are very lazy and just want to get from point A to point B and the less they have to do the better.

There are many reasons for this, one being the small spaces allotted to park in. It’s a lot more fun when the spaces are painted straight instead of slanted. The parking blocks were installed for pure enjoyment. The students have figured out how to drive over them and they realized how fun it is. Shortage of parking spaces on a college campus is a hassle. Campus parking lots should be expanded and limited to various campus attendees as well as the implementation of regulations on parking pass renewals. The first proposed solution to overcrowded campus parking lots is the introduction of a pay to park method. With an obvious exclusion to faculty and staff, parking meters should be installed ideally to reduce the number of idle vehicles on campus. Designated locations with parking meters would help utilize the parking areas for multiple individuals during the educational day.

They are painted on so well, with bright yellow paint, and I can clearly see where the lines are. It’s apparent to me that other students can see the lines clearly too. On my occasional bad day, I get to school and start looking for a place to park. I think I have found a spot, but I can’t seem to fit my car into the space. This happens because the student who parked there before me, used up two spaces.
