I interviewed for your program on December 15th, 2016. I am writing this letter to express my strong interest in your program and my desire to be accepted. I want to inform you that your school is my top choice and I will attend if I am accepted. USD Sanford School of Medicine offers several unique opportunities that make it the right program for me. The curriculum followed in your program is intriguing, as it allows various clinical clerkships, sub-internships, and generous opportunities for electives, out-of state and global experiences. I am particularly interested in the clinical and global opportunities that your school offers. Sanford School of Medicine’s Scholarship Pathways Program is an invaluable program that provides students an avenue for gaining knowledge and research experience outside of the classroom. From my meeting with Ms. Christopherson on interview day, I learned that students are consistently tested on the topics being studied to ensure their expertise and confidence with the material. I highly value your three-pillar system and look forward to the opportunity to take part in the clinical simulation training that is incorporated into the curriculum. I have learned that the relatively small class size allows advanced teamwork skills and camaraderie amongst the students.
