How successfully does Ubisoft Entertainment follow their mission statement?
INTRODUCTION
Ubisoft Entertainment - a French company that specializes in the publication and development of computer video games, head office is located in Montreuil, France. The company includes studio in over 20 countries, including Russia, Canada, Spain, China, USA, Germany, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania and Italy. Ubisoft is one of the largest game publishers in Europe. It has 6010 highly skilled and well-trained employees in programming, modeling, animating etc. Ubisoft Entertainment is positioned at the top of the market, selling high quality video games on different platforms and relatively at high prices. Such objective was achieved through several aims. The first one is expanding the impact of its intellectual property into other sectors such as cinema, television series and merchandising. This strategy should help to increase the visibility and recognition of brands such as Assassin’s Creed® and Rabbids Invasion®, thereby increasing video game sales. For these, the company applied following actions related to supporting different associations dedicated to children: in France they supported association “Nos quartiers Ont Du Talent” (Our neighborhoods have talent) by organizing training sessions to help them to find a job. In India their aim was to help children (students) from vulnerable backgrounds to apply on first job. In China Ubisoft studios provided shelter, medical and education support to orphans. As you can see the goal directly follows the mission statement of Ubisoft Entertainment, hence it seems that Ubisoft Entertainment is successfully living out it. In general, Ubisoft organizational objectives seem to associate with mission statement.
