William Clark was known for the great Lewis and Clark Expedition. He was born on August 1,1770 in Caroline County, Virginia, and died on September 1, 1838. He lived with his father, William Clark III; his mother, Ann Rogers Clark; and his older brother, George Rogers Clark, who was Revolutionary war hero. At the age of nineteen, Clark entered the military. He first served in the militia and then entered the U.S. Army.
He was the seventh child in his family and his parents were William and Nancy Mckinley. The Mckinley family was of Scots-Irish descent. The family trade on both sides was iron making. In 1852 the Mckinley family moved from Niles to Poland Ohio so that the children could go to better schools. After the war ended in 1865, McKinley decided on a career in the law and began studying in the office of an attorney in Poland, Ohio.
General George Patton lead calvary patrols against Pancho Villa at Fort Bliss along the Mexican border line. He served as a member of John J Pershing’s troops. 1916, General George was chosen to aide John J Pershing, commander of the American Expenditionary in Mexico. Patton was also honored for shooting Julio Cardenas, Mexican leader, during the battle of Columbus in 1917. He got promoted to Captain and led Pershing’s headquarters troop after they left Mexico.

In the Beginning of Sam Houston’s life he was born on March 2, 1793 in Tennessee. Then from 1813-1814 he fought in the Creek War then soon after that in 1827 he became the Governor of Tennessee. Then Sam Houston won the battle of San Jacinto and captured Santa Anna then gained independence from Mexico. Then became governor of Texas in 1832. Sam Houston was chosen to be the commander in chief of the Texas army.
Samuel “Sam” Houston was born in Virginia 1793 and died in 1863. He became a lawyer, congressman, and senator in Tennessee. Sam joined the growing conflict between the U.S. and the Mexican government and became commander of the local army when he moved to Texas in 1832. On April 21, 1836, at the San Jacinto Sam and his men defeated Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna in just 18 minutes. He was voted for president in 1836 and in 1841.
Dwight Eisenhower was the 34th president in the United States. Dwight was born on October 14, 1890 in Denison, Texas. His family migrated from Germany, first they settled in York, Pennsylvania, but later moved to Kansas in the 1800s. He was elected January 20, 1953 to be president and continued to be until Jan 20, 1961. Before becoming the president Dwight Eisenhower fought in World War 1 and World War 2.

He went West Point a prestigious Army school and then during WWI he trained in people in tanks. During WWII he commanded the Normandy invention or D-Day. After that he became the supreme commander of the Allies .Then he retired from the military and ran for president and won, he served two terms as president in which he managed Cold War era tensions and ended the war with Korea. After that he retired to Gettysburg in 1961 and died on March 16 1969 at the Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington D.C.

Abraham’s father, Thomas Lincoln, and grandfather, Abraham Lincoln, were born in Rockingham, Virginia. Abraham’s ancestors came from Berks county, Pennsylvania. His family came here only 17 years after the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. One of his ancestors, Samuel Lincoln, founded the Lincoln family in America.
