I am called Yarrow, by those who know me. Allow me to enter my story for the record. Once every four years, the many nations of planet Foath send forth their greatest athletes to compete against each other in epic showdowns. Over the course of two weeks, the mighty athletes challenge one another in a multitude of events.

Brittney Smith a 17 year old girl who goes to Maplewood High School where she is an honor roll student, a cheerleader, and is the student body president for the Junior classmen. She enjoys spending time with her family, hanging out with her friends, and she make sures that she makes the right decisions for the school. Brittney usually gets along with everyone in the school even the unpopular kids, but there is this one person she doesn’t like or can’t stand to be around. His name is Andre Jones, Andre is the captain of the basketball team and star player. Even though Brittney is around Andre during basketball games, she still refuses to talk to him or go near him.

In Suncrest Elementary School, the school that I attend to, every year they would pick a fifth grader who has the best art picture and would be the cover of the year. I was excited to become a fifth grader because I want to be on the cover of the yearbook. It was until the beginning of April was when Mrs. Barnes was announcing that one student would have their art picture in the cover of the yearbook. I was so excited that one of my classmates including me would be chosen to cover of the yearbook and including in the newspaper.

On January 13th, 1982, 79 passengers on the Air Florida Flight 90 crashed into the icy, Potomac River less than a minute after take off. One minute, the passengers were warm and relaxed, sitting in their seats, and the next, they were drowning in the icy Potomac. Today I'm going to be talking about Melba. The reason why is because she is an important person of why integration ended. To start off she almost died because of a racist people as a young child because the doctor took away her medicine for her to stay alive. Then she wants to attend a all white school Central High. And she gets to because Little Rock is integrating and she signed up for it. Then a big riot starts and the students and teachers treated the LR9(that’s what the called them because there where nine students who attended) terrible. Then Danny a solider who helps keep the LR9 safe from the riot is very helpful to Melba. He gives her all kinds of advice. Even one time some boy splashed ink or some acid in her face and Danny came with a bucket of cold water if he wasn’t there she would have lost her eye sight.

It was Halloween night, my three friends Bryce, Zach, and Bailey and I were so excited, it was the 666th Halloween, we had all met up at Bryce’s Brother KY’s house in Donaldson, Arkansas. We had been invited to this Halloween party in down town Malvern on the train tracks by ACME Brick. So we called Bailey’s sister Megan because she lives beside KY’s house and KY and his Fiancé Megan wouldn’t take us to that part of Malvern because it is one of the worst neighborhoods in Malvern.
