Smartphones are a common technology used by most students, but everyone uses it for different purposes. It makes our task performance easier, helps us to solve many of daily problems, stay in touch with the world or live a digital life. Some may think that smartphones would be good use in educational purposes. However, others believe that smartphones distract us from learning process by notifications, social media, entertaining apps or even their presence affects our brain. In our case these people are professors, administrations, faculty members who banned them in universities. …show more content…

In some point they may be correct because depending from culture of students they may use their smartphones for: being online on social media, such as updating their photo on Instagram or updating Facebook, listening music, watching funny vines, surfing web or texting each other. But we may consider current situation from different perspective, assume that students know their main reason for being in that class, which is getting knowledge not getting grades through cheating, this can prevent students from breaking academic integrity. On our second option Professor may simply change dynamic of classroom from lecturing in front of the room to having no traditional front at all. During class professor may walk around and help students with their assignments, while in meantime ensuring use of smartphones academically. It is hard to behave unethical in those
