Usha Internatinal limited was incorporated back in 1954 on 3rd of April where the company was registered under the name of “Styles of Agents & Distributors Limited”. Later on 9th June 1956 the word Private limited was added to the name of the Company by the assistant registrar of the companies in West Bengal. 13th November 1961 the company was re-registered where now its name was changed and it was now know as “Usha Sales Private Limited”. On 9th April 1975 the word private was deleted from the name of the organization as it was under the obligations of section 43Aof the companies Act. By 1989 the company could manage to start shipping its products apart from just developing nations to major developed countries like the US & UK. By 1990 the sales for the sewing machines, diesel engines and knitting machines had dipped since the brand was facing massive competition in the markets of the Singapore & Malaysia and suffered from losses as well due increasing costs and tough competition it was decided by the brand to leave these 2 markets. In 1997 the brand came up with new set of sewing machines “zig-zag sewing machines” exclusively from the lands of Jamome (Japan) where to make these sewing machines sold in the market the brad targeted the medium scaled woolen garment manufacturer. For the marketing of Zig- Zag sewing machines within the markets of India, Bhutan and Nepal USHA International Ltd. came into an agreement with Madag Ltd. that was one of the largest Switzerland based knitting manufacturing company. During this year the brand even launched a series of “mix & match fans” made up of ABS plastic. Over the past six years, I have witnessed Hy-Vee undergo key structural changes, mainly in the pharmacy department. The reorganization process has helped the pharmacies produce more efficient numbers and profits. Structural changes such as a new computer system and a central fill processing facility has improved the work flow. This allows the pharmacist to have more time to help our patients, which is ultimately what our goal is. There were definitely some doubts about whether restructuring would be successful.
