Joe Biden is the Vice President of the United States of America. He was born on November 20, 1945 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, being the first of four children. Joe is married to Jill Biden, and has had four children. Biden has been our Vice President for 7 years, but has been a part of the senate since he was 29. He has represented the state of Delaware for 36 years. The next presidential election is going to be in 2016. I believe Joe Biden should be our next President. Let’s take a look on Vice President Biden’s view on immigration. Joe voted in favor of the Comprehensive Immigration Bill. He believes that “our immigration system is broken and we have an obligation to work on it until we fix it.” Biden thinks that we shouldn’t make English …show more content…
Joe believes that early childhood education is crucial to a good education and having good grades. He helped create the Zero to Five Plan. This plan will provide critical support to young children and their parents. Biden also believes that teachers shouldn’t just fill a child’s year with tests where you just bubble in letters, but should do more to make sure children are ready for college. Teachers should start giving tests that make children think more and start keeping track of everything so they can determine a child’s readiness for the real world. Biden has also had an influence on America’s budget and our spending. Joe voted yes on the Balanced-budget Constitutional Amendment. This amendment states that a state cannot spend more than its income. He invested in new programs by ending war and eliminating tax cuts. Biden also helped the Pentagon spending by getting our troops out of Iraq. Health care is an issue that many people look at when deciding on whom to vote for. Joe thinks that everyone should be covered by health care. Biden told the view that no matter how old we get, we will always listen to our mothers. He encourages all mothers to call their children and tell them to get covered by some type of health insurance. Face it, who’s going to tell their mother no? I know I
Abraham Lincoln once said, “Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.”. The President that fought for the freedom of slaves, this was one of his most known quotes inspired to make people believe that slaves had the right to have freedom like everyone else did. This quote then impacted a lot of people, who then volunteered to fight in war. When Abraham found out his words were, “The more the merrier.” What would the world be like if Abraham Lincoln was not elected president?
John McCain, Republican nominee for president, introduced Sarah Palin as his vice president pick at a campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio. Sarah stated that she is “just your average hockey mom,” and would be the first female vice president. Although they lost the election, Sarah’s voice still has been heard. She has written many books. Some of her books include: ‘Going Rouge,’ ‘Sweet Freedom,’ ‘America by Heart,’ and ‘Good Tidings and Great Joy.’
Although a copious amount of people claim that the election betwixt George W. Bush and Al Gore was candid, I have deduced that it in fact was illegitimate and that Al Gore should have won. For instance, in the film Recount it is announced that the machines increased Bush’s votes by three thousand votes and seized thousands of votes from Gore. Because the difference of votes was only one thousand seven hundred and eighty four and if those thousands were not affixed to Bush’s votes and deducted from Gore’s votes, Gore would have obtained the majority of the votes. In addition, people in Florida were perplexed by the voting ballots, they were design in a manner which the voters were left dumbfounded. Because of the perplexing format of the ballots
Throughout the 2016 presidential campaign and afterwards, when GOP nominee Donald Trump won the Electoral College but not the popular votes, Americans displayed a disconcerting lack of civics knowledge and awareness. Many supporters of Hillary Clinton suddenly began to question why the Electoral College system is still used, while Trump’s supporters chanted for Hillary to be locked up. Whether or not Clinton should be imprisoned, the 2016 election raised a series of provoking questions: Why did it take so long for Americans to realize that the United States has never used a popular vote to directly elect a president? Why are some Americans surprised that now-President Trump is struggling to follow through on campaign promises like sending ‘Crooked
This provokes the same emotions in the audience, making them stranger. It also shows that Biden will use many methods to help the American people, bringing them
A few days ago I posted that I wanted someone to purpose legislation that would stop the shootings, but allow me to keep my AR 15. I took the post down because the conversation went exactly where I didn’t want it to go, but predicted it would. Instead of proposals on legislation, I was having to defend my right to have an AR 15. Gun control advocates are demanding legislation, so I was hoping someone could come up with a proposal within the parameters I described.
His son Beau died of brain cancer in 2015. Through all of these rough deaths around Biden he has managed to achieve a lot. Joe biden went to school to become a lawyer and then ran for US senate. He served on the senate from 1973-2009 when he launched his campaign for presidency. He lost the race, but was later picked by Barack Obama to be his running mate/Vice President.
Who doesn’t like a good love story? Eleanor & Park has great themes about teenage love and independence but is chosen to be banned due to poor language. The type of language adults think teens should not be reading about. Although Eleanor & Park has poor language, teens should still be able to read it because it teaches not to be afraid to be afraid of one’s self, not let anyone get in the way of love, and be independant.
Success or Failure: Based on my research of Cleveland, I believe he was a bad leader. He tried to always have the county’s best interests in heart; however, most of the time he failed to meet his goal. He was the only president to serve two nonconsecutive terms as president. He did not have two consecutive terms as president because he was unpopular with the people.
America is called the land of opportunity. Throughout the history of America people from around the world has come to this place to start a new life with better chances to have a good life. Such people are called immigrants. In the history of America, immigrants were not accepted as Americans, and different articles and debates were done on this issue some called American as supreme race some criticized America for its imperialism as well. But it is Americans who says that they were not the ones which are to blame, but it is the people who should be blamed as they come to America for help.
Here lays the scene of a group of four-year-olds at day care in south Philadelphia. Modern philosophers Rene Descartes, John Locke and David Hume have been reincarnated centuries ahead into mischievous toddlers with keen interest in objects that reside in the world around them. The toddlers: strong-willed and intuitive Renee, respectful and cooperative Little John, and intellectual, obnoxious Davie, all have an idea of what knowledge consists of and how we can perceive existence from those ideas. Renee, being Descartes’ reincarnation, is a rationalist that desires reason to allow the acceptance of knowledge.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” Everyone who lives in the United States has heard these words at least once in their lifetime. Whether it was in the early hours of the school day or under the stadium lights at a football game. Americans have heard these words, and have stated that liberty and justice are for everybody. Some believe that liberty and justice applies only to Americans.
Nobody wants to deal with the aftermath of the fall of a major leader. However, with Napoleon no longer active in our Europe’s politics, we, the French people must find a way to be a proactive as possible. The Congress of Vienna has taken the first step in assuming the way Europe was, politically, but are they doing it in a way that benefits Europe? The Congress of Vienna is a series of meetings held by the leaders of Russia, Great Britain, France, and Austria.
Becoming president of the United States is one of the highest positions a citizen can earn and it is spot of outrageous power and influence. However, as the saying goes “with great power, comes great responsibility” and that responsibility includes conducting yourself in an appropriate manner. This ability seems to elude America’s current presidential candidate Donald Trump. Trump is acting inappropriately during his campaign with constant strings disrespectful comments and behavior along with his habit of continuously contradicting himself. The controversy surrounding this candidate and has turned this election campaign from a respectable event to a skit gone wrong.
But, they will have another role as well. Once a year after the election the American public will be given an opportunity to vote on how the president is doing with a simple up or down vote. If less than 45% of America gives the president a thumbs up, they are bumped out of office (good-bye have a nice life) and the vice-president becomes president and the third most popular candidate becomes vice-president. And this happens every year, giving the president motivation to give it their all, for all six years if they want to keep their job.
