In Indonesia, video editing is assumed to be a male’s job. Consequently, there are only a few Indonesian females working as video editors. For example, there were only four females out of forty-seven video editors working at the Kompas Gramedia TV Group. As one of the few female video editors, I succeeded in becoming the head of the video editing division of Kompas TV. However, leading eleven video editors for various TV programmes is a challenging job. To maintain stability in the workplace, I treat each of my team members fairly. Every member is assigned their duties and responsibilities based on their capabilities. To maintain the quality of work, I created a working system in which the senior video editors work with juniors. By building teamwork, there will be a transfer of knowledge between them, which will result in an improvement of their skills. The outcome were in 2012, Children of the Sea, Kompas TV’s documentary which raised awareness on child labor in Indonesia won awards from the ILO and UNICEF, and, in 2013, The Endangered Towers of Borneo, Kompas TV’s documentary about the destruction of tropical rainforests in Borneo managed to become the …show more content…
I will also use TV and digital platforms as a broadcasting medium. By utilising multiplatform media, the chances of people watching will be bigger that the impact of this programme will be wider. This is in line with the growing awareness of Asian people towards self-health and the struggle they face in prioritising health in this modern life. As for the long term, with my previous work in Malaysian news television, Astro Awani, I hope to be able to initiate collaboration with one of the media companies in Southeast Asia to create health and lifestyle
Despite being the editor for our client project, I had involvement throughout all stages of the production process; and in this report I will try and evenly discuss both my unique role as well as my other involvements and how they came together to teach me lessons and introduced me to new experiences. Preparing me for a career in the professional corporate video industry. Although, the program is far from perfect it is no less valuable and strive to do better in hopes to eradicate our society social and health problems. The only criticism of the Healthy People 2020 would be the lack of advertisement and accessibility
Health The topic of health and its impacts on poor health have been an issue in many reservations. A key factor in living a happy, stress free life is the state of health that one is experiencing. Being healthy goes beyond staying “fit”. It helps lower the risk of certain conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.

Wonder Woman in an Age Travel The amazon that became a superhero feminist symbol Film industry is a micrograph of our society. As a result of this many inequalities are provided to the big screen. However, the section of inequality has very broad horizons that it is very difficult to detect and analyzed them.
Introduction Part 1: “Consciously or not, Alfred Hitchcock never followed tendencies of mainstream cinema. By depicting his heroines as strong and expressive, giving them freedom of will and using a subjective narrative mode, he broke with the classical image of woman as a spectacle.” (Malgorzata Bodecka) Films have always been influenced by the social-cultural background from the time the film was produced. Dating back to the beginning of film around the 1890s through the films produced today, if taken into account the time period, one can argue that a big change in the social-cultural background of the world, especially in western society, has been the change of the role of women in society.
Hamilton’s relevance is rooted in its ability to educate. Lin Manuel Miranda did not create a musical “inspired by” the life of one of America’s founding fathers, but rather created a musical that takes the facts of the life of one of the founding fathers and presents it in a new medium. By following the actual events of Alexander Hamilton’s adult life, Hamilton gives the audience the opportunity to experience a defining point in our country’s history in a way that crosses generational and educational barriers. Up until this point, educating yourself on the lives of the founding fathers would require reading historical accounts of their lives, like Ron Chernow’s Alexander Hamilton, or watching a documentary.
Over the past few decades, classical Hollywood cinema has been criticized for the way women are portrayed through the screen. The majority gaze throughout mainstream cinema is quite masculine. One of the easiest ways to prove this is by examining how men and women direct their gazes through film. “Men tend to look at women, and women tend to look not at men, but at men looking at them.” (Horton)
When looking at films you have to look at every aspect of the film. When it comes to most people they will watch the film and not notice little details such as framing and editing. Now being an editor my self, this is one issue that bothers me with casual viewership of movies or any other types of film. Thats when they think the editing was just done and that it takes not effort and people think that the clips are just put together. I can safely say that this is 200% false and that being an editor takes a ton of thought and process going into how a clip is placed, how much time before cutting it or anything along those lines.
INTRODUCTION The word ‘team’ can be defined as a group of people working together towards a common goal. A team also generally is known as a group of people with different skills and different tasks, who works together on a common project, services, or goal. Then, the important thing in teamwork is ‘collaboration’, which is the act of working effectively with others to achieve a common goal. Collaboration acts as the lifeblood in the team, even the team is not large enough, but the collaboration is required.
It was important to ensure that all members of the team could attend the meeting and filming day. This is because as Team STEPPS outlines that is important that members of the team understand other roles and collaborate to allow for improvements (Manion & Huber 2014, p.143). It was important that all members of the team were collaborating equally and evenly to ensure that each member was sharing their ideas. To allow for this issue to be addressed it was important to use a Team STEPPS approach this was by ensuring that the team was working together to ensure that everyone contributing and each team member’s strengths and weakness were highlighted (Foley & Murray 2017, p.130). Prior to starting filming
V for Vendetta, directed by Alan Moore in 2005 was an eye opening film, with aspects from the past and predictions for the future, the film left many uncertain how to feel. Being placed in the dystopian genre, the film uses many codes and conventions to connect them to the genre. V 's revolutionary speech helps bring hope to the society. The film was born through an illness and plague that had effected the world. The storyline begins to unfold with the rising of High Chancellor Sutler, which was oddly similar to Hitler, who created a government to oppress the people’s liberty.
The 3D Animation production pipeline of the typical animated video or movie is usually divided into three key stages: Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production. Whether it is a big blockbuster movie or a 30-second film, the process is always similar. It starts with the Pre-Production process. Pre-Production
Gender representation is solely created by social construction. Thus, people grow and learn by watching and doing as they see, and the common way to learn these constructions is through media. The common form of media that promotes these social views is film, and it promotes a patriarchal society. In Laura Mulvey’s article, “Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema (1975),” she explains that Hollywood film creates a binary that portrays women as passive and spectacles, while men are seen as dominant, active, and are the ones that push the story along (4-5). This representation is created by the use of the male gaze, fetishizing women, and punishing women if they ever assert their power.
