In C. S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe quote “And then Lucy saw that there was a light ahead of her; not a few inches away where the back of the wardrobe ought to have been, but a long way off. Something cold was falling on her” (Lewis 7). The Pevensies, who were four young English siblings, had to move to a friend’s house in the country due to WWII. In 2010 I was a zombie cowgirl for Halloween.I went trick or treating with my mom and my brother,Antone. We started trick or treating at our friend's house, then we went up the hill.I was seeing shadows, I was very scared that night, that weren’t there. The seven year old me was not ok with the night. After, we went back to our friends house to switch out candy. When we got there, there was at least ten kids there. My friend had came to trick or treat with their families too. Finally, we were ready to leave but when we started to back up we heard CRUNCH.We hit someone's car.We got in a car accident, it wasn’t to bad, no one got hurt. While I started to think of the dangers of the situation(that's what I do) it started to rain.We sat in the rain waiting for someone to help us.My costume was messed up, my makeup was running down my face and then the scabs were gone.By now I probably looked like a real zombie.

Notably, in Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, psychological issues are prevalent throughout the book; both the grandpa and Jacob conjure up images of people to help solve problems within themselves. Jacob’s brain “had conjured [her] up at the very moment [he] was looking at,” (Riggs 125) pictures of the girl, while inside his grandpa’s childhood home. Since Jacob was skeptical about the loss of his grandfather, it only made things worse for him psychologically. Before long, he even lost all his real friends he had and never came to realize that the all his new “friends were imaginary” (Riggs 344). Indeed, in “The Devil and Tom Walker,” the gothic element of spirits/ghosts are common throughout the short story.
This particular day tested my so-called “experience” I thought I had as a mom. During the festive gathering, my youngest daughter Sophie, seven at the time, was wielding her Grandpa’s knife while playing the present-opening assistant (Yoopers think knives are safe). Unfortunately, it did not go in her favor. She sliced her thumb and excitement quickly changed to panic. In that moment, I was reminded of my own bloody-murder scream.
